Mary Ann and Juan are amazing, friendly hosts. They were patient and attentive, giving our very particular dogs time to acclimate. We received emails with updates and photos each day. You can really tell how much they love dogs. I highly recommend this host.

Five star Bed and Breakfast.

About this sitter:

Your dog may sleep on the bed. Will get three long walks every day. There is someone home all the time with rare exceptions. I live near parks, Tompkins Square Park and the East River Park, and Washington Square Park
I can bathe and give "non-professional" grooming, if necessary. I grew up with many dogs and have had my own dogs for thirty years. I live in Manhattan, near the best vet ...

What Mary Ann would like to know about your dog

I would like to know if the dog has any medical problems, how to treat them, and if your pet has a regular vet. Psychological problems are not unknown in the canine world. I would like to know about any behavioral issues and if there is a special therapy that has been suggested. I have no breed preference but since my apartment is small, it would be better if the dog is somewhat small.

When Mary Ann watches your pet

Here's where we'll take our walks
I live across the street from Tompkins Square Park. I also take around the block walks when the weather is inclement. The East River Park and Washington Square Park are very close. Often I walk dogs around the neighborhood.

Your dog's sleeping arrangement
Your dog will sleep anywhere he or she wants to sleep. If his paws are clean, he or she would be permitted to sleep on my bed. If the dog prefers a crate, I have a cloth crate large enough for a 30 lb. dog. If the animal has a bed of their own, that would be fine too.

Time I'll spend with your dog
There is always somebody home. My husband is home all day as he has severe arthritis. I usually take dogs for three walks a day: one, first thing in the morning around 8, another in the afternoon around 3:00 and lastly before bed, around 10. My apartment is small so your dog will hardly ever be alone. There are exceptions but they are rare.
