Safety and trust are always my top priorities. I use secure leads unless we are in a fully enclosed, safe area. Once I know your dog well — and with your approval — I am happy to allow off-lead time following a careful assessment of the environment and your dog’s recall. I take time to understand each dog’s boundaries, signals, routines, and preferences, helping them feel confident and at ease in my care. My aim is to learn your pet’s habits and needs quickly, so I can provide calm, reliable, and worry-free care.

I prefer to meet you and your dog together for the first time on a walk, so we can see if we’re a good fit and I can observe your dog in a familiar setting. I like to learn about your relationship with your dog so I can adapt my care style to match yours. I’m always keen to learn as much as possible about your dog — their personality, habits, favourite games, routines, and any little quirks or fun facts you’d like to share. The more I know, the better care I can provide.
A typical day
I tailor each day around your pet’s usual routine and needs. This includes getting up in time for their normal morning schedule, feeding at their usual times, providing walks appropriate to their energy level, and giving them plenty of attention, companionship, and rest. If needed, I’m also happy to provide overnight care. My goal is to minimise disruption and keep your dog’s routine as familiar and comfortable as possible. I also enjoy taking dogs to suitable new places (with your approval) to give them gentle enrichment and positive experiences.

My approach is rooted in kindness, patience, and genuine connection. I believe every dog is unique, and I enjoy getting to know their favourite games, walking pace, habits, and special requirements. Your pet is part of your family, and I tailor my care to suit them as an individual, focusing on creating a calm, positive experience while you’re apart. While I’m new to Rover, I have many years of experience caring for friends’ and family members’ dogs. I’ve looked after dogs of different ages, temperaments, and energy levels, always ensuring they feel safe, loved, and well cared for — whether on walks or while staying at home. I take pride in being attentive, reliable, and emotionally tuned in to the animals I look after.

What a wonderful experience! Martina could not have taken better care of Twix & sent some many pictures & updates on her stay. We would not hesitate to welcome her into our home again.
Martina is our new angel! She was amazing from before her dates even started and only continued to amaze there after! Martina came out and walked with the dogs before the start date so that they felt more comfortable when we left. She actually came over at 2:30am when we left so they’d be less stressed as wee left, even though I assured her it wasn’t necessary. She went above and beyond in every interaction she had with the dogs and us. Martina provided comprehensive updates everyday, which is was very reassuring for us whilst we were away. She even noticed medical requirements that arose on one of my dogs and after consulting me, started to provide care according to my wishes. Even kept the house clean when we said she didn’t need to. Cannot recommend enough, one of the most conscientious dog carers we have ever used and I’ll definitely be leaning on her for dog walks and boardin in the future as the dogs clearly love her. What can we say about Martina very friendly and professional went above and beyond really especially for the times she arrived to care for Daisy. Martina is lovely and was very good with Daisy who appeared very happy in the photos that Martina sent to us which reassured us she was being well looked after and Daisy had plenty of excercise. Daisy is very much in the moment when walked Martina was unfazed by this and has taught her some great manners so thanks for that. Daisy loved Martina and had a great time and she was looking for her this morning when we got up so that's a big plus. It was the first time we had left Daisy so was slightly nervous but there was no need she was in good hands and I will definitely be asking for Martina next time we plan a trip. Thanks again Martina your a star.
