I had my own boxer dog micky for 11 years sadly I lost him. I know exactly how hard it can be to navigate life and make sure your giving your dog the best care possible! I was fortunate enough to have family members that would take car of my micky like their own. I think it's important to look after someone else's 4 legged friend exactly how they would want you to. I had my micky really well trained I used to receive comments all the time on how good we were together I spent alot of time training him we had a mutual respect which is important, I don't look at dogs as master and dog it's a bond that makes a dog want to behave well and admire you.
