I was raised on a farm & had many farm animal pets over the years . I volunteered for years at a Horse Rescue in NY and a Horse Ranch in Tucson, AZ & love being around all animals. I am willing to care for small animals (dogs & cats) as well as large animals (horses).

Marti was fantastic! My 10 yo dog has health concerns and needs meds 2x a day , this was no issue for her at all … she kept in touch with me via text & photos … Marti was on time for both arriving and when she departed. I would ABSOLUTELY ask her to sit for us again !
Marti cared for my 2 16 year old male dogs. She handled the medication schedule and took the time to brush them and went above and beyond to attend to the many needs that they require. She also provided such excellent care that they have become better socialized during this 6 days. They are so happy and content. I received daily updates and photos of them. Thank goodness that we can count on Marti for excellent care for my pets and my home.

Schedule
I recently Retired from my nursing career to spend more time with my new little Grandson & family. My dog who was 15 and my cat who was 19 passed away last year, and have left a gaping hole in my life & heart & I have not been able to bring myself to get another pet yet as they can never be replaced. But I love being able to go to the Horse Rescue & being able to visit with friends & family pets for a “doggie or kitty fix”. So, I have plenty of free time to spend in caring for a pet. I just love being around animals!

I live in a 55+ community that allows me to offer boarding to cats, but not dogs. I am a retired RN, so, am home most of the time. All kitties are welcome to jump on the furniture & bed & cuddle!
A typical day
If housesitting a dog or cat, I will try to indulge them and earn their trust with lots of one on one time and play with their toys and try to keep them engaged in activities they like to do.
