I want to make my time with your pets the best-- and safest-- experience that I can. I need to know if they have any medical, physical or behavioral issues. Do they enjoy the company of other pets? What's a typical day for him or her like? Being without an owner can be stressful for a pet. I want to get as close to a normal day for them as I can so that they-- and you-- can feel at ease.
A typical day
As a pet owner, my dogs are my family. When I travel or have to be away for an extended time, I have more "separation anxiety" than they do! I have to know that my dogs are in the best care possible. I have, also, experienced the anxiety of having older pets-- and special need pets-- who were unable to be boarded traditionally. Fortunately, I had family who were able to care for them the way I would care for them. I want you to feel that same peace of mind. I believe animals crave routine-- so I want to make my visits with your pet something that feels natural and comfortable to them. I would love to know what their typical day or evening with you is, and accommodate that to make them feel secure and happy. Please advise me if your pet has any medical, physical or behavioral issues that I need to know about. Let's work together to make this a great experience for both your pet-- and you!

Animals make my world go 'round! After a career as a Flight Attendant, I became a Veterinary Receptionist for the most amazing clinic on the planet. Not only are the veterinarians skilled doctors-- they are teachers who enthusiastically share their wealth of knowledge with all of us lucky enough to work with them. After I retired, I became a pet sitter for many of the clients we worked with. It was an honor to have known many of them from the time they were puppies, and through their Golden Years. I have enjoyed the company of dogs (and a cat) since I was a kid. Dogs will always be part of my life! In addition to caring for several of my friends' pets, I write a column on dogs for a local publication.
