I am self-employed and lead a flexible life, which means I can easily adapt my schedule around your dog’s needs. I’m an active person and spend most of my time outdoors, so daily walks and exercise are already a natural part of my routine. I currently have a very flexible weekly schedule and can usually accommodate morning, daytime, or evening walks, including weekends when needed. As I enjoy longer walks and spending time in nature, I’m always happy to make sure dogs get plenty of stimulation, exercise, and attention.

Safety, trust & environment
I always prioritise safety, trust, and consistency when caring for dogs in an owner’s home or during walks. I follow the owner’s instructions closely and make sure each dog is cared for in a way that matches their routine, personality, and comfort level. I’m calm, observant, and attentive to body language, and I take time to understand each dog’s needs so they feel secure and relaxed. During walks, I use positive, gentle handling and ensure dogs are always safely leashed and supervised, unless otherwise agreed with the owner. I also understand how important communication is, so I provide regular updates and am always happy to share how the walk went, including photos if requested. My goal is to make sure every dog feels safe, understood, and comfortable, and that owners feel completely confident leaving their pet in my care. I’m not currently able to care for dogs in my own home.
Information Märta S. would like to know about your pet
It’s helpful for me to know in advance about each dog’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can provide the best care possible. This includes things like their usual walking habits, recall level, triggers (such as other dogs, traffic, or cyclists), and how they are on the lead. I also appreciate knowing about any medical needs, allergies, or behavioural quirks, as well as how they typically respond to new people or environments. If there are any commands or training cues the dog already knows, that is also really useful so I can keep consistency. The more I understand about each dog ahead of time, the better I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed during our time together.
A typical day
A typical walk starts with getting to know each dog’s routine, personality, and energy level so I can tailor the walk to them. I always aim for a calm, friendly start so the dog feels comfortable and relaxed. Walks are safe, enjoyable, and enriching, with plenty of time for sniffing, exploring, and taking in their surroundings. Depending on the dog, this might be a relaxed stroll, a more active walk, or a quieter route for dogs who prefer less stimulation. I like to vary routes where possible and always pay attention to how the dog is feeling, adjusting pace and activity as needed. My goal is for every dog to return home calm, happy, and well-exercised.

Pet care experience
I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have experience caring for my own dogs, each with their own personalities and needs. Living with dogs has taught me patience, consistency, and how important it is to pay attention to what they’re trying to communicate. I recently spent two months volunteering with the Soi Dog Foundation, where I walked and cared for around 15 dogs a day. It was a brilliant hands-on experience working with lots of different temperaments and really strengthened my confidence in handling dogs calmly and safely. I’m especially interested in dog behavior and enjoy learning more about how dogs think and communicate. Because of this, I pay close attention to each dog’s comfort and personality so I can make sure walks are enjoyable and suited to them. I’m reliable, calm, and comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I’ll always keep you updated and make sure your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for. I recently lost my rescue dog, Laika, who meant the world to me. Spending time with dogs again feels like a positive way to stay connected to something I care deeply about while I wait until the time feels right to adopt again.
