Calm, reliable dog walker
I’ve loved dogs for as long as I can remember and have experience caring for my own dogs, each with their own personalities and needs. Living with dogs has taught me patience, consistency, and how important it is to pay attention to what they’re trying to communicate. I recently spent two months volunteering with the Soi Dog Foundation, where I walked and cared for around 15 dogs a day. It was a brilliant hands-on experience working with lots of different temperaments and it strengthened my confidence in handling dogs calmly and safely. I’m especially interested in dog behavior and enjoy learning more about how dogs think and communicate. Because of this, I pay close attention to each dog’s comfort and personality so I can make sure walks are enjoyable and suited to them. I’m reliable, calm, and comfortable with dogs of all sizes and energy levels. I’ll always keep you updated and make sure your dog is safe, happy, and well cared for. I recently lost my rescue dog, Laika, who meant the world to me. Spending time with dogs again feels like a positive way to stay connected to something I care deeply about while I wait until the time feels right to adopt again.

Safety, trust & environment
I always prioritise safety, trust, and consistency when caring for dogs in an owner’s home or during walks. I follow the owner’s instructions and make sure each dog is cared for in a way that matches their routine, personality, and comfort level. I’m observant and attentive to body language, and I take time to understand each dog’s needs so they feel secure and relaxed. During walks, I use positive communication a d gentle handling, and ensure dogs are always safely leashed, unless otherwise agreed with the owner. I also understand how important communication is, so I provide regular updates and am always happy to share how the walk went, including photos if requested. My goal is to make owners feel completely confident leaving their pet in my care.

I felt extremely comfortable leaving my 1 year old pup with Märta - i knew from the offset that she would be reliable, treat my dog as if it were her own and give him the love, play and attention he required. She listened to what I had in place already and asked lots of questions. Märta has looked after him for an hr or so, as well as a longer period of time where she stayed at my home for 6 days/5 nights. As he has separation anxiety and cant be left, i needed to know his needs would be met. To add to this, he was recovering from 2 minor operations where his wounds had to be kept clean, he had to be prevented from licking them, and was restricted to short walks - quite an ask! Märta kept me updated with how he was doing, reassured me, and whilst I was away his eye got sore, and she called the vet and was willing to take him - fortunately it improved as the day went on. When I got back, his wounds were pretty much healed (a massive improvement from when id left) and he seemed relaxed, content and happy and my home had been well looked after. I've already asked for her to look after him again! 💚
I will start off with the conclusion: I cannot think of a better person in relation to animals in general and dogs specifically. I have known Märta for many years, and I have been with her with our dogs, with her dog and we have talked and discussed about the well-being of all animals. Märta’s love for dogs, and her compassionate nature is outstanding, and I would not hesitate one second to trust her with any dog or any other animal. Märta is also very knowledgeable in dog behavior, training and psychology. Her engagement in the animal rights movement also proves the sincerity of her personality.
Marta is a lovely lady Stanley was happy in her company. Great first visit will definitely use her again .
Marta was on time for our walk. The dogs loved her and it was evident that she had real empathy for them. Their welfare and making the walk fun for them was of paramount importance to her. We would strongly recommend Marta.

Schedule
I am self-employed and lead a flexible life, which means I can easily adapt my schedule around your dog’s needs. I’m an active person and spend most of my time outdoors, so daily walks and exercise are already a natural part of my routine. As I enjoy longer walks and spending time in nature, I’m always happy to make sure dogs get plenty of stimulation, exercise, and attention.

- It’s helpful for me to know in advance about each dog’s routine, personality, and any specific needs so I can provide the best care possible. This includes things like their usual walking habits, recall level, triggers (such as other dogs, traffic, or cyclists), and how they are on the lead. If there are any commands or training cues the dog already knows, that is also really useful so I can keep consistency. I also appreciate knowing about any medical needs or allergies. The more I understand about each dog ahead of time, the better I can make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and relaxed during our time together.
