We’re Marta and Jay, lifelong dog lovers and experienced pet sitters based in Bournemouth. We’ve been dog walking, house sitting and looking after other people’s pets for several years, as well as having two dogs of our own, Fred and Ulu. We’ve both grown up around dogs and are comfortable with all kinds of breeds, sizes, ages and personalities. We have experience with puppies, large dogs, older dogs, anxious dogs and reactive dogs, so we understand that every dog needs something a little different to feel safe and settled. Because we’re dog owners ourselves, we also know how important it is to genuinely trust the person looking after your dog. We treat every dog in our care as we would our own and always try to keep their normal routine as consistent as possible. We both work from home and have flexible schedules, meaning we can spend plenty of time with the dogs in our care and work around feeding times, walks, medication and individual routines. We live in a house with a fully fenced garden, dogs are welcome on the furniture, and we’re happy to accommodate crates, beds or whatever your dog is used to at home. We’re also very happy to provide regular photos and updates while you’re away - we know how reassuring it is to actually see that your dog is happy and settled! If we happen to be unavailable for the dates you need, we can also recommend a dog sitter we personally know and trust, and who we’re happy to leave our own dogs with. Agreed to the house sitting. Did a meet and greet charging £20. After the meet and greet cancelled 24 hours later. I’m now without a dog sitter and £20 out of pocket for no reason.
I was a bit nervous about leaving my puppy, as I had only had him for a few days and had never used a dog-sitting service before. But Marta was absolutely amazing! She kept Niño safe, and made the whole experience stress-free for me. She was so kind and caring with him, genuinely interested in his routine, and very respectful of my preferences. She also provided regular updates, including pictures and videos, which reassured me that he was in great hands. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend Marta to anyone looking for a trustworthy and loving dog sitter!

Safety, trust & environment
We can drop in and check on your pets, play with them, and feed them or care for them when you’re away. Also, we can walk your pet and play with them to provide them with the physical and cognitive exercise. Let us know if you’d like us to train your pet too, we’d be happy to! We’re experienced with anxious and reactive pets and can help both you and your pet feel at ease.
Pets
A typical day
A typical day with us is very relaxed and tailored around your dog’s normal routine. Because we both work from home, they’ll have plenty of company throughout the day rather than being left alone for long periods. We’ll usually start with a morning walk, breakfast and some downtime, followed by a mix of play, garden time, enrichment and cuddles while we work. Depending on your dog’s energy levels and routine, we can do additional walks later in the day, including longer walks for higher-energy dogs or slower, sniffier walks for dogs who prefer a calmer pace. We’ll stick as closely as possible to your usual feeding times, medication, training cues and household rules, and make sure there’s plenty of time for both exercise and rest. In the evening, we’ll usually have another walk or some playtime before everyone settles down for the night. And of course, we’re happy to send regular photos and updates so you can see how your dog is getting on.
