Pet care is already a natural part of my daily routine. I have a dachshund, so I’m very mindful of both energy needs and health considerations. We go on daily walks (usually 1–2 miles in the afternoon), and I work a hybrid job, which means I’m home Mondays and Fridays with plenty of time for extra attention. My office is also pet friendly, so being around animals is something I’m used to. On weekends, we make time for longer play sessions, like an hour at the park once or twice. Since dachshunds are prone to back issues, our home is set up with ramps and blocked-off stairs to keep things safe and comfortable. Caring for dogs and making them feel at home is part of my everyday life, and I enjoy building that into my routine.

Safety, trust & environment
Safety and comfort are always my top priorities. At my home, I’ve made sure the space is pet-friendly—stairs are blocked off, and ramps are available for couches so dogs can move around safely. I keep a close eye on pets during playtime and walks, making sure their needs and limits are respected. I also stick closely to each owner’s instructions for feeding, routines, and any special care, so pets feel comfortable and cared for just like they would at home. Whether in my home or a client’s, I provide a safe environment, lots of affection, and plenty of time for exercise, play, and rest.

A typical day
A typical day with me is all about keeping pets happy, comfortable, and loved. We’ll spend time playing fetch, going on walks, and doing fun sensory activities that keep them both mentally and physically engaged. There’s always room for cuddles throughout the day, and I make sure to match their energy—whether that means lots of playtime or a slower, more relaxed pace. At night, I’m all about snuggles, and I love having pets in bed so they feel safe, cozy, and right at home. My goal is for every pet to feel like they’re part of the family while you’re away.

Pet care experience
Hi there! I'm a full-time marketing professional with a lifelong love for animals — especially small breeds like dachshunds and yorkies. I currently share my home with Beau, my sweet dachshund, and have grown up surrounded by pets, so caring for animals is second nature to me. I'm in the office just 3 days a week, which gives me flexibility to provide attentive, loving care when you're away. In addition to my own pets, I’ve volunteered with animals through my sorority and have experience caring for both kids and pets through UrbanSitter. Families have trusted me with their little ones (both two- and four-legged), and I always treat them like my own. Whether your pet needs a walking buddy, some playtime, or just a cozy companion while you're gone, I’m here to help. Can’t wait to meet your furry friend!
Reviews

Marriah is simply incredible at caring for high-needs pets. This was my first experience using an app for an overnight in-home house-sitter for my 14yo yorkie. Our dog has a strict prescription diet for cushings disease and requires gentle, attentive and near constant care. Marriah was professional, cheerful, patient and supportive throughout the 8 days she stayed with our little old lady. I was amazed how Marriah hand fed our dog and got her comfortable and eating again even while she was moping and sad from being left behind. Marriah sent so many pictures and updates on how our girl was doing and I felt so safe leaving my smallest family member in her hands. She is worth every dollar and I would recommend Marriah to anyone looking for an experienced and compassionate caregiver for any kind of service from walks to overnight care. We will definitely ask for her again!
We had an amazing experience with our dog sitter, Marriah! She took care of our dog for 10 days and was reliable, communicative, and clearly genuinely cared about him. Our dog absolutely loved her, and Marriah took him on lots of walks, which he thoroughly enjoyed. We received regular updates and lots of photos throughout our time away, giving us complete peace of mind. When we returned, our dog was happy, relaxed, and well cared for, and our home was in impeccable condition. We highly recommend Marriah and will happily book her again.
Marriah was simply amazing! She was thoughtful, thorough and our cat loved her. Thank you for making it much easier to leave knowing Willie was in great hands

Marriah took great care of my pups and house!
