For ten years I worked as an animal behavior specialist and dog trainer for a large humane society in New England. After that, I ran a successful pet training and pet sitting business. Although I have since made a career change, I still love spending quality time with animals and helping care for them when I can. Since I work from home any dog staying with me gets lots of attention. Pets in my care get the thoughtful attention of an experienced positive trainer who will provide a combo of activity and affection. I used to have multiple dogs and miss having pups around.

Marni boarded our cats for the second time and she was as wonderful this time as she was last time! It was very easy to communicate and book the stay, she was super responsive, and gave us regular updates and photos of the kitties while we were gone. We felt very comfortable that the cats were safe and happy in her care.
We would highly recommend Marni. She was very responsive when we first reached out about booking a stay for our two kittens. She was very friendly and responsive to all our concerns. We had a concern about one of our cats who likes to dash out of open doors and Marni was very reassuring that she would take extra care. Marni was really friendly and communicative in the time leaving up to our kitties’ stay with her. She was very accommodating to all our requests. Marni took great care of our kittens and sent photos and updates daily. We were really happy with our kitties care and felt very comfortable while we were away.
Marni stepped up when a previous booking needed to change and was so easy to work with! She and Piper gave Tabbi a wonderful place to hang out while I was away. We will be back.

Schedule
I work from home from about 7 am - 3 pm everyday. Dogs get a walk before I start work, potty breaks throughout the day and another long walk after work. I do go out sometimes in the evenings, but your pet wouldn’t be alone for more than 4 - 5 hours.

Safety, trust & environment
Since I do not have a fenced in yard, dogs get long leash walks. I prefer to crate dogs when I’m not home, but that can negotiable.
Pets
A typical day
I love long walks on the beach...Alki Beach that is and always with a dog by my side. Your dog will get lots of activity when staying with me, as well as consistency and kindness. We'll go to the beach, to the woods, maybe even to the farmers market, it all depends on what is fun for your pup.
