I work from home on Mondays and Thursdays making me available for walks and drop in, I am also off work every other Friday and my schedule is fairly flexible!

I find it really important to follow the rules and manners set by the pet parents. I have personally raised rescues with unclear pasts so am also very aware of how to socialize dogs appropriately and respect their boundaries so they feel safe and I can earn their trust.

It's good to know the sociability of the dog with other dogs and humans so I know their limitations. It's also important to know their commands, anything they're afraid of and/or not allowed to do in the house!
A typical day
I love going to the park and going hiking and will gladly take your dog these places if you are comfortable, some of my favorite spots are Lake Roland and Double Rock Park! I also am happy to take them on any normal errands if they like car rides as I have a pet seat cover. Always love a good pup cup :)

Pet care experience
I have worked with all sizes of dogs and have worked with multiple pets at a time for the past 10 years. I am available to stay overnight and am available for walks and drop in visits on my work from home days. I absolutely adore senior dogs and rescues as those have been the dogs that have personally come into my life but I love them all :) I absolutely love every aspect of working with animals and work very hard to communicate with you about your expectations of care for your dog. I also always make sure to send photos and texts giving you updates about how your dog is doing while you're away! I really just enjoy spending time with your pets and if you have a dog that loves going places I always love to take them out and about. If needed, I am also comfortable with administering medications for your pets. In my client's home I respect the rules of their home. It's my place to make sure your pets are taken care of the way that you want! So whatever are their normal routines and rules is what I strive to follow. I especially love if part of their normal routine is treat giving!

I’ve been friends with Marlo for almost 7 years and I can tell you she is truly one of the most dependable and responsible individuals you’ll come across! She is so good with her own dogs, and other dogs just seem to gravitate to her! She has extensive experience caring for other families dogs, and knows how to create an environment for pets with the right balance of nurturing affection, and discipline and structure needed for a confident and happy dog. When I adopted a dog from a rescue last year she provided so many helpful tips and advice through our training process. I cannot recommend her enough!
Anybody would be lucky to have Marlo as their pet sitter! When I first met Marlo we were out to dinner with our friend and her dog -- I couldn't believe how good Marlo was with her! She's responsible, patient, and kind, and truly understands a dog's needs and personality. Marlo has a big heart, and would go to the end of the world to help her own senior pooch, and she would also never pass up the opportunity to play with a puppy. Marlo is a great communicator too - when she dogsits she even sends me pet pictures, and I'm just a friend! If you're looking for someone trustworthy and responsible who knows what they are doing around pets, Marlo is the best fit!
