I live in laurel, Maryland and work full-time Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. My days start early at 6:30 AM with a walk and breakfast for my dog before I head out for work. I’m usually home by 4:30 PM and immediately shift my focus to my pup — making sure he gets his bathroom break, dinner, and quality playtime. We always end the night with one last pee break before bed. I’ve always loved animals, and since I don’t have children of my own, I treat every pet with the same care, attention, and love I’d give my own child. I don’t work weekends, so I’m home all day and usually spending time with my dog and husband — whether we’re out exploring or relaxing at home. I’m dependable, attentive, and genuinely passionate about making sure every pet in my care feels safe, happy, and loved.

How I care for pets in my home and/or my client's home: Whether I'm caring for pets in my own home or in a client’s home, my top priority is creating a safe, calm, and loving environment. I follow each pet’s routine closely — including feeding schedules, bathroom breaks, walks, medication (if needed), and playtime — to help them feel secure and at ease. In my home, pets have a clean, quiet space to relax and are never left unattended for long periods. My dog is friendly and gets along well with other pets, especially cats. I keep everything neat and organized, and I make sure each pet gets plenty of attention, exercise, and affection. In a client’s home, I treat the space with respect and care, keeping things clean and following all instructions closely. I make sure pets are comfortable and stick to their familiar routines to reduce stress while you're away. No matter the setting, I treat every pet as if they were my own.

It’s important for me to know your pet’s routine, temperament, and any special needs ahead of time. Please share if they have any allergies, medications, or health conditions, as well as any triggers or fears (like loud noises, other animals, etc.). I’d also love to know their energy level, favorite activities, and any behavioral quirks so I can make sure they feel safe, happy, and at home. The more I know, the better I can care for them like you would!
A typical day
I love keeping pets active, engaged, and happy! Depending on your pet's energy level and personality, we’ll go on walks, play fetch, enjoy tug-of-war, or have relaxed cuddle time. If your pet enjoys the outdoors, we’ll spend time in the yard or explore safe nearby parks. I always tailor the activities to each pet’s needs to ensure they’re having fun and feeling comfortable!

It’s so hard to find a really good sitter who will care for your baby like their own. I’m so glad I was able to find Marlin, who was so sweet to my Stella! Marlin is a Phenomenal pet caretaker. She sent me consistent updates and photos of my dog, as well as did everything in her power to make sure my dog felt comfortable. She even noticed an ear infection my dog had and gave her the right medication after confirming with me that my dog was allowed to take it. Thanks to her my dog will be able to receive the right care and help she needs. I could not recommend Marlin anymore, her work speaks for itself. If you’re looking for a caring, attentive and responsible sitter to look after your pet, Marlin is the right person for you.
Marlin was great with my cat Charlie, who stayed with her over Thanksgiving. She went out of her way to make Charlie feel at home and sent me frequent updates. I would absolutely have Marlin watch Charlie again, she was amazing!
