My experience with pet care began with reactive dogs, including one that required a muzzle, where I learned the importance of structure, consistency, and closely following training protocols. That early experience shaped how I approach every dog in my care—with patience, awareness, and respect for their individual needs. Over the past 3 years, I’ve raised and trained my own rescue dog, Caramelo. Through him, I’ve gained hands-on experience with leash reactivity, recall training, and building confidence in different environments using positive reinforcement. This has given me a strong understanding of dog behaviour, body language, and how to manage different temperaments safely and calmly. In addition to my own dog, I’ve cared for pets belonging to family and friends, including dogs like Abby, a Golden Retriever. I’m comfortable adapting to each dog’s personality—whether that means supporting a nervous dog, keeping up with a high-energy pup, or maintaining structure for dogs in training. I also have experience with puppies, including potty training, crate training, reinforcing basic commands, and establishing consistent routines.

Marlene is a dog lover, she walked my dog PJ a couple of times and PJ absolutely enjoyed her company. I was a bit hesitant to find a dog walker but she connected with him immediately. I will book more walks in a future!
Koa enjoyed his first day of daycare with Marlene! She provided pictures & videos throughout the day which was much appreciated as it was his first day. I will be definitely be using Marlene again! Highly recommend her!!
We had never used Rover and so Marlene was our first experience with this service. She was friendly and showed a good sense of dog care. I appreciated her timely communication, enthusiasm and experience with various dogs. Our dog, Lucky, was so well cared for and got all the love and attention we could ask for. Marlene always makes my time away from home feel like a breeze because I know that my cat, Balú, is in great hands. Schedule
I work from home and so I am able to accommodate early mornings, afternoons, and evenings. This schedule allows me to adapt to your dog’s routine and maintain consistency while they are with me.
