A passion for working with animals!
I've always been a big animal lover and have worked around dogs and cats in professional settings since high school. I first started as a volunteer at the humane society to build some experience and eventually got my first paid job at PetCo! I then moved away and became a kennel attendant at a vet clinic! I've also had some experience with being a dog bather at a pet salon.

I always have peace of mind when Marlana dog sits. She sends updates and is super sweet to Bert. She also referred me to Annette when she wasn’t able to watch Bert and Annette was great.
Awesome!! First time my furry baby stays over night and Marlana directly showed I had nothing to worry about during a quick road trip. We plenty of photos and updates of my baby to be reassuring. Very happy from this experience especially when my fur baby is very attached to me and did good for her first time. I will Rebook Marlana in future trips.
Marlana was amazing!! She sent pictures and videos everyday and I didn’t worry about Bert in her care. She loves animals & you can just tell. Bert made himself right at home too. I’m so happy that we now have a sitter for Bert when we go out of town.
Marlana is awesome! So glad we found her! We were looking for someone close to Disneyland as we are frequent visitors/Key Holders so we can maximize our time in the park but still have our pup close by! She was so responsive! Sent updates, videos and pictures! Our 2 year old maltipoo barely eats when we leave him with others and he actually ATE there! Which obviously is a good sign! Thank you Marlana for taking care of our Raki! We’ll definitely be back !!
Marlana has been wonderful and fully attentive to my Penny. It was not easy leaving my little loved one but Marlana made this an easy and enjoyable experience for myself and my pup. I work long hours and am thankful to have found a pup sitter that can work around my schedule. Also, Marlana sends pictures and videos of my pup to keep me updated throughout the day with her activities. I hope and plan to continue to have Marlana watch over my little Pomeranian for time to come.
Marlana is the best. Always flexible and the best communicator. Kirby loves coming to stay with her and she does the best job taking care of him like her own!

Schedule
I am a part-time student having classes on Thursdays from 1:50 PM - 5:15 PM and Fridays from 9:00 AM-10:30 AM. I also volunteer my time to the aquarium on Wednesdays from 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Outside of those times I am at home where I can spend lots of time with your fur babies!

Safety, trust & environment
I live in a moderately sized ADU where I can take them on walks around the neighborhood. Because my area is gated, dogs can hang outside in the yard to sun bathe or play with some toys. In addition, I have plenty of dog toys laying around and treats to be given. Dogs will be allowed to sleep on furniture and/or my bed! I am a firm believer in keeping my space extra clean and sanitized. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to send me a message!

A typical day
I would love to spend time with your dog through doing both physical and lazy activities at home. We can cuddle up on the couch watching TV, go on a walk, or play some fetch. In addition, I love practicing trained commands and getting to know your pet's personalities.

Is your dog okay with car rides in the case we decide to go to a different park or go out to a dog friendly restaurant? 6. Is your dog leash reactive? I also do have a 11 lb senior shih tzu mix that gets stressed out by overly friendly or high energy dogs that try to play with him so I can only take in dogs that have low to moderate energy unfortunately.
