Staying with the Stanleys
We are Mason & Marla (the adults in the family) and our kids are Madeleine & Morgan (the little girls: ages 10/6) and our son Mathias (3 years old). We are a fun loving family with three energetic little ones and we all love animals! Our children love playing outside, going for walks, and exploring. I (Marla) have been a dog-lover for years, and when my Dad fostered that love by giving me James Herriott's Animal Stories on audio, I begged and pestered until my parents caved and allowed me to have my first dog! I was the primary trainer for our family dogs through the years, and was privileged to work with multiple breeds including collie, dachshund and mini-terrier/schnauzer. Since getting married in 2008, moving around, and having my own human babies, :) I have sacrificed having beloved puppy dogs in our home during this season of life. I am a stay-at-home/work-at-home mom and primary caregiver to our children. We would be honored to host and love on your furry family members! I make time to take our furry friends out first thing in the morning as well as throughout the day and just before bed at night. We involve the kids in helping care for them by learning good leash handling as well as basic feeding and care, but never leave your dog unattended. I have a fenced in patio and open yard and we live a short distance from two parks. I can easily crate your dog if needed but ask that you provide a crate they are familiar with at drop off.

Marla is just wonderful! She has been such a blessing to our family especially now while I am ill. When she first started walking Baby Boy, he was anxious to leave me. Marla just scooped him up, and gave him a reassuring hug and they were able to go on the walk. Needless to say, Baby Boy loves her and so do we.
Baby Boy took to Marla right away, which says a lot. He is so excited to see her, and enjoys walking with her. I'm so relieved because I have been ill and unable to walk him, so having Marla help out has been a great blessing.
