My husband and I are both contractors/freelancers, and one, if not two, adults are almost always home. We're active and enjoy walking dogs in our care, and particularly enjoy long walks. We're well-practiced in maintaining a feeding (and medicine, if needed) schedule.

Our home includes a fenced yard and fenced front porch area. We like to bring dogs inside if we leave, and we are happy to crate them if that make them feel safe and cozy. For bedtime, we have allowed dogs to sleep in our bed or snuggle in their crate -- whatever the pups prefer.

My kids have grown up with dogs large and small and are dog-savvy, so pups that are comfortable with kids are preferred. Please let us know about food preferences, meds, sleep preferences, or any sensitivities to noises we should be aware of.
A typical day
I love to take dogs on long walks (we live a few blocks from River Park and its dog park), sniff the neighborhood sniffs, practice any training you’re working on, and play fetch in my backyard. If your dog is a couch potato, that’s good, too (we love TV over here as well!)

Pet care experience
Our dog-loving family (two adults and two dog-savvy kids) have experience with pups of all sizes, from our 90-pound cattle dog mix (rest in peace, Henry!), who we raised from puppyhood, to the grandparents' yorkie. We love taking pups on long walks, playing fetch in our yard, and reinforcing any training you're working on. Our puppy, Daisy, has been a wonderful partner in dog-sitting. She is relaxed, open, welcoming and playful, but is also perfectly happy giving space to those dogs that are not up for her puppy energy.

Our pup enjoyed spending her days with Marla and James and playing with their Daisy. She was sad to leave and excited to arrived each day. Will definitely book daycare with them again! Thank you!!
Another great weekend! Flight delays caused Dolores to stay an extra day and Marla easily accommodated.
Eddie loves his home away from home and gets SO excited every time he gets to stay with Marla, James, and family. They do a wonderful job communicating and keeping him out of trouble! And their dog Daisy is just the best friend a dog could ask for.
As usual, Dolores had a great time and was well cared for with Maria and her family!
