Hello and Welcome to my profile. I have had dogs all my life. When I was 5 years old I received a Dachshund puppy for my birthday and then a kitten too. We raised them together and they were great companions. Yes I have had lots of other dogs through the years, but Skeeter and Sassy were my first pets. My brother calls me a walking dog treat, if a dog is around, they just come for me knowing I will accept them just as they are. I love that comment and I would hope people would be that way with everyone. Recently on a dog sitting / house sitting job. One of the dogs needed assistance getting up and down from the couch. They had tried to get him to use stairs but he wasn’t interested. So I brought in a ramp and Bubba took to it immediately. They returned home to him being able to get up and down on his own. So sweet they both cried at praised him for his new accomplishment. I have taken classes on Animal Physical Therapy, Pet First Aid & CPR. One thing I like to do is give the dogs a massage, mine get one every night. When I was working with a rescue fostering and taking in strays, the massage was a good way to build trust and get them to like a humans touch. One of the foster dogs, Princessa, would get behind me and put her paws on my back lifting them up and down softly massaging me too. Currently we have 4 dogs in the home, so I am no longer able to do doggie day care or board at my home. Hope this is enough so you can get a good glimpse into my home. Marla

Marla was absolutely wonderful-when an unexpected situation came up she went above and beyond. She was such a blessing to our dogs and us.
Bindi just completed a weekend stay with Marla, his first time with her. She is very friendly and accomodating. She and I had great communication. Bindi bonded right away with Marla and her dog, GiGi and I could tell he felt at ease. She sent several pictures which helped me to be at ease, lol. He slept in her bedroom and I’m sure he enjoyed her big backyard. When I picked Bindi up he was happy and well cared for. He wanted to give Marla goodbye kisses. I would not hesitate to use her services again. She takes the responsibility very seriously.
Marla is very kind and accommodating. She took good care of our dog Neena and was an independent and mature caregiver for our pup. She was responsible and responsive to our needs and concerns. She took Neena on many long walks which is one of her great loves; long walks, food and chew toys. Thanks Marla!
Marla was great, Stella really enjoyed her stay. We got updates from Marla along with pictures and we felt that our Stella was in the very best care with Marla. I highly recommend Marla and we will be calling her for Stella’s next stay.
Marla is the best! We just got back after leaving our puppy, Ringo, in her care for 13 days. She looked after him extremely well in our home. We came back to a happy puppy and a clean home. Right from the beginning Marla was very responsive to all my messages and questions. I was a little nervous leaving Ringo for an extended period of time. Before I decided, she offered to come over with her cute dog, Gigi, to see how Ringo would do with another dog. Marla brought Gigi and came twice, both times stayed for 20 minutes or so to let the dogs interact. I really appreciated that. While we were gone she sent pictures and updates. It was a great relief to know that our puppy was in such good hands. A big thank you to Marla and Gigi. We will definitely have Marla watch Ringo again!
Marla was awesome! She was very friendly, clearly loves animals and made the effort to make my Maggie feel at home. Her communication was fantastic - she even sent us pictures while we were away. I would not hesitate to recommend Marla or to hire her again!!

I am off every summer, which is nice, so my schedule is open. December through May, my work schedule is busy so I am not available.
