Information Mark Y. would like to know about your pet

Let me know if your dog has any special needs. I also love knowing their preferences so I can really make them excited and comfortable in our home.

A typical day

We always start off with a short walk to the nearby grass with our dogs. We like to let them play and let some energy out running around in the backyard. Lots of toy time and pets and treats throughout the day. Our dogs spend a lot of time cuddling on the couch and sleep in our bed; all dogs are welcome to do the same if they’re comfortable with that.

Pet care experience

Dogs have been a part of my life for over 10 years — as a pet owner, and at one point as a foster to a rescue dog. That experience taught me a lot about patience, reading a dog’s body language, and helping an animal feel safe in an unfamiliar environment. It’s shaped the way I approach every dog that comes through my door. I want to ensure your dog has the quality time they deserve and I only take on one family’s dogs for boarding at a time. This is to ensure I can properly give your dog(s) proper attention and personal time. I also heavily prefer doing a meet and greet before an extended boarding so I can understand your dog’s temperament and get them familiar with me immediately. Every new dog gets their own space to decompress first. My home has separate gated areas where they can take in the new sights, sounds, and smells before meeting my dogs. Introductions happen slowly and on their terms — some dogs are ready in an hour, others need a day, and either way is perfectly fine. By the time they join my dogs, it feels natural. Working from home part of the week means your dog gets real, consistent company and attention throughout the day. We go on daily walks, there’s plenty of couch time, and the little things — a change in appetite, a dog who just needs some quiet — never go unnoticed. You’ll get regular photo updates and check-ins throughout the stay, so you’re never left wondering how things are going. I have cameras throughout nearly every room and dogs will be separated/crated if needed when I need to step out, so your dogs will never be left unsupervised. If this sounds like a good fit, reach out! A meet and greet is always the first step to make sure everyone’s comfortable and compatible.

Mark was amazing with Marley!

Mark is an exceptional caregiver who will treat your pets like family! As a dedicated dog dad of two, he knows exactly what it takes to keep dogs happy, healthy, and safe. He is incredibly attentive to their daily needs—ensuring they get their regular exercise with daily walks and trips to the dog park to burn off energy, and he even stays on top of meticulous care like daily teeth brushing. Mark is naturally intuitive with animals and always puts their safety and well-being first. If you want peace of mind knowing your dog is being treated with the same love, structure, and attentiveness they receive at home, Mark is the perfect choice!
