Safe Mutts with Wagging Butts

A 220-lb. St. Bernard helped me learn to walk. I guess he was training me so I could take him for walks later. Since then, I've raised numerous dogs from literally the day they were born, so I'm experienced with puppies, adults of any size, seniors, and a variety of special needs. I started caring for others' dogs over a decade ago as my living situation permitted. And since joining Rover in February 2023, I've provided a safe, fun place for dogs of all types and temperaments.

This is the second time our dog has been boarded with Mark . At this point, it would be difficult to leave our dog with any else for dog sitting (we hope Mark never stops boarding dogs, ever. Or Mark needs to be cloned Haha). Mark is extremely communicative, aware of the various dogs he has that are together and the personalities of the dogs and provides the best updates (very detailed and with lots of photos from throughout the day)!! Mark treats our dog like his own and it shows because our dog has become very relaxed while staying with Mark. I would highly recommend, Mark, if you’re seeking someone to board your furbaby with!!

Mark was incredible, I highly recommend him if you are looking for a trustworthy and reliable pet sitter. He made sure it was a good fit for my pup and ensured she was comfortable throughout her stay. He also provides daily updates which are really appreciated.

Mark was extremely attentive and communicative throughout Vejo’s 3 night and 1 day stay.! I could tell that Vejo was very well cared for based on the updates and photos provided by Mark. I plan on booking again with Mark for future boarding needs and feel very comfortable with the care provided by Mark. I would highly recommend Mark’s services.

Mark was great with our pup Poppie! Being new to the family Poppie still has some training/behaviors she is working on and Mark was incredibly patient with her and kept us informed on how she was doing throughout her stay. Would highly recommend Mark

Schedule

I work from home, so your dog will have a day consistently filled with ear scratches, belly rubs, fetched balls, and bathroom breaks. If they're staying the night, they are welcome to curl up with me and my book and drift off to sleep by my side. And to help with this, I can get them good and tired beforehand with a long walk, some playtime, or both.

Safety, trust & environment

I ultimately try to re-create the schedule and house rules your pup already knows to make staying in a new place as comfortable and safe for them as possible. I live in a very pet-friendly apartment building with two fenced-in courtyards and a dog park half a block away. There's an elevator, so dogs with mobility problems don't have to worry about stairs. I currently don't have a dog of my own, but I usually have other dogs staying with me, so your pup should have plenty of new friends to play with. If all that sounds good, let's set up a time to meet you and your pup, preferrably at my place so you can check out the accommodations. Looking forward to meeting your pooch (and you).

A typical day

I'll usually let your dog out 4 times a day with 1 or 2 of those being walks, depending on your dog's energy level. But this is easily adjustable for those, like puppies, who need to be let out more often.
