I enjoy house and pet sitting because it combines several things I value: caring for animals, experiencing new communities, and having the flexibility to work remotely while providing a valuable service to homeowners. As I continue building my consulting business, I have the freedom to work from different locations, which makes house sitting a natural fit. Rather than staying in hotels, I enjoy the opportunity to become part of a neighborhood, maintain a comfortable routine, and care for a home as if it were my own. I've always appreciated the companionship that pets provide and understand how important it is for them to maintain their routines while their owners are away. Whether it's walks, playtime, feeding, or simply spending time together, I enjoy making pets feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Qualifications
Safety, trust & environment
I believe in safety first. Therefore, I usually keep all dogs on a leash when walking and avoid contact with other animals unless specifically requested by a pet owner. I feed all pets per the schedule I'm provided and like to play as much as each pet enjoys. My record for fetch is over one hour with a golden retriever. I've also watched cats, chickens, and birds.
Ratings and reviews
Mark cared for my active golden retriever, and played fetch for hours on end, took him on walks, and communicated well with anecdotes and photos throughout his stay. I'd recommend him because he asked about what my dog's preferences were, how he could make my dog most comfortable and happy, and then made it his priority to fulfill those! Mark is reliable and trustworthy, and Leo had a great time with him.
Mark and his wife were excellent sitters for my cats. Loved all the pictures and videos they sent me. They followed all my instructions and left my place perfectly clean when they left. They even brought their own linens and towels which made things even easier for me. They let me know when my litter box was having an issue and troubleshooted it. They were incredible sitters and I’d love to have them sit for me again anytime.

Schedule
I work remotely as a business consultant, and my schedule is quite flexible. I'm typically up around 6am for some exercise and walking, and then start working around 9am. During my morning routine and work, I take care of the pets I'm watching, give them their food, and take them on their walks. I usually do the same around noon, and once again in the late afternoon or early evening. Since I work remote, I can adjust my schedule to the needs of the pets that I am watching.
