since i’m retired now when i dog sit the dogs get spoiled and have the best of times. as i can devote my days to them to make them feel special and loved by someone who is new to them. my motto is , if i’m on the couch watching tv , the dog will be sitting next to me on the couch. when i go to sleep. the dog is allowed on the bed and i even have stairs so they don’t have to jump. and if allowed i i make homemade frosty paws treats with fresh greek yogurt , peanut butter and bananas and give them to the dogs to enjoy now and then. as long as the owners say it’s okay. as for food from the table. that is a no unless the owners say it’s okay. but it’s only as a treat. and if i have steak bones or pork bones , with owners permission i will give them if i happen to be smoking a pork butt or grilling a steak.

A typical day

typical day starts with waking up and letting the dog outside to use the bathroom. after that it’s either a quick walk but i prefer to serve breakfast to them. after we go for a nice walk and let them do their business. as where i live there are several dogs that walk by thru the day. marking the area. so there is a lot of sniffing happening. after the walk we come back home to chill and relax. and as needed we go potty. we play fetch or tug of war if the like. or we relax on da couch and watch some tv. then later in the day we go for another walk as long as it’s not hot out as i don’t want them to burn their paws as the heat can be bad for them. after we have dinner and play a bit more and go potty before bedtime. and wake up and do it again.

Pet care experience

I’ve been watching my friends chocolate labrador for the last 10 years he has become part of my family since he’s been a puppy I have great neighbors who also help and spend time with Sammie the chocolate lab since i’ve retired in January 2024 and the fact my favorite dog , Sammie , has passed on to doggie heaven i find myself wanting to help others. i have a few friends who have two golden retrievers who i started watching and find myself wanting to help others out as well. the photo of me and the cute Dachshund who is what i would say is special needs as he has several Anxiety and is allergic to so many many different things. He is on a special diet and takes medication twice a day. It is taking me years to be able to hold him and allow him to trust me. Even though I don’t get to see him as often as I wish as he’s almost 200 miles away but when I do, we have some nice quality time

From the moment we met Mark he made us feel comfortable and confident about leaving our little Max with him. We looked forward to the many pics and videos and the detailed stories about his days were the best! Thank you for taking the best care of Max!!!

I literally cannot say enough how amazing mark is! We own a very anxious Great Dane so placing him in boarding was definitely something we were unsure was going to work. Mark was aware of all of this and accepted taking Lincoln and honestly it could not have been a better match! Mark sent me videos daily of him and Lincoln’s adventures and to be honest I’ve never seen Lincoln happier! Mark is an exceptional caretaker and just such a warm hearted human. He will be our go to sitter for as long as he allows as I could not think of a better person to have caring for our pup. Thank you again mark!! Lincoln misses you already !

Mark is the best dog sitter I have ever had! He takes pics of your pup and sends them to you on a daily basis and allows them to sleep where ever they want, even in his own bed! He also makes homemade treats for them! I will only allow Mark to sit for our dogs from now on! 💕 Margie
