Safety, trust & environment

Safety, trust, and comfort come first. I follow your instructions closely: feeding, meds, leash/harness preferences, and house rules, while treating every pet as if they were my own (with plenty of respect, attention, and the care they deserve). I use calm handling and positive reinforcement, keep pets closely supervised, and do on-leash walks. You’ll get consistent photo/text updates so you always know how your pet is doing.

Information Mark R. would like to know about your pet

Before we start, please tell me your pet’s personality and any habits or boundaries: leash manners, reactivity around other dogs or people, fears, separation anxiety, and any “bad habits” you are working on. I also need feeding times, allergies or a strict diet, medications and health notes, and bathroom routine. Let me know where they sleep (crate or bed) and any furniture rules, plus favorite toys and games. A quick meet and greet is always welcome so everyone feels at ease.

A typical day

A typical day with me is structured but fun. We start with a solid morning walk, then a midday potty and play break, and finish with an evening walk, plus extra quick potty breaks as needed. We will explore new smells on calm neighborhood walks, get some energy out with fetch or tug, then come home for water, meals and treats only as you approve, and relaxed cuddle time. If your dog enjoys it, we can add a nearby park stop for extra exercise and enrichment. You will also get photo updates so you always know how things are going.

Your Fur Kid’s New Best Friend!

Pet care experience

Hi, I’m Mark, a lifelong animal lover based in WeHo. Growing up with dogs, cats, hamsters, ferrets, guinea pigs, and even anoles. I’ve spent over 30 years caring for pets of all ages and sizes. Neighbours, friends and family have trusted me to look after their pets for everything from quick drop‑in visits to week‑long boarding. Through these experiences I’ve learned to read animals’ body language and tailor my care to each pet’s unique personality, energy level and needs. I’m comfortable with puppies, high‑energy breeds, mellow seniors and special‑needs pets alike.

Mark is a fantastic pet sitter. He treats your pets like his own. Chewy and Ollie adore him. He’s very thorough in communicating and providing daily summaries along with pictures. He does his utmost best to maintain their daily schedule while you’re away. He is appreciated by our family so much.

Mark provided exceptional care for Jersey and Dagwood. He was extremely thorough in understanding their needs and instructions, prompt, kind, caring, and communicative. I would highly recommend his services.

Mark has a natural connection with animals that you just can’t teach. He took amazing care of our pets, giving them all the affection, exercise and calm reassurance they needed. During our week away he provided frequent photos and updates so we knew exactly how they were doing, and he kept our home tidy too. Mark was patient and loving with our shy senior cat, who even came out to say hello. He is thoughtful and detail‑oriented, asking great questions about feeding routines, medications and quirks, and he follows instructions perfectly. Most importantly, our pets clearly adored him and looked forward to his visits. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, gentle and professional sitter who treats your pets like family, Mark is your person.
