Safety, trust & environment

I would treat every pet as if it were my own, lots of walks and stimulating play time, I hate to see bored dogs. To encourage good behaviour I set ground rules for my own dog and would expect the guest dog to be able to follow the same simple instructions. This would help to create a calm and relaxed environment.

Has 1 dog
No children present
Dogs not allowed on bed
Dogs not allowed on furniture
Potty breaks every 2-4 hours

Information Mark F. would like to know about your pet

If they are good off the lead? do they have a good recall? are they social with other dogs? are they good with children? are they ok with strangers? how would you describe their personality? How much exercise do they require? Do they have any medical conditions? Would I need to administer meds?

A typical day

Early morning and afternoon walks of over an hour each time, play time at home or in garden with soft toys and ball's. Treats given as rewards for good behaviour.

Location

Belstead, United Kingdom

Pets

Cliched but true, dogs are a man’s best friend

Pet care experience

I have had dogs in various shapes and sizes since I was a child. A Jack Russell that lived to 17, a rescued Great Dane, a beautiful Weimaraner (the love of my life, sadly missed) and now a 3 year old Bedlington terrier. I also work part time at ITFC and have been DBS checked 👍 Unlike other sitters who will take two, three or even four dogs we will only have one guest dog at a time, this means we can give more attention to your dog.

I had never used a pet sitter service before and was very nervous about leaving my fur baby with someone I didn't know, however on the first meet with Mark and his lovely dog Ozzy, my little Jug kiera was running around chasing Ozzy in the garden and having the best time. On the day of dropping her off I received a video and photos and she looked like she was having the best time. Lovely walks 2x a day and well taken care of. I will definitely be using Mark again. Thank you

Our Cockerpoo, Charlie, has just spent another week with Mark. As before, he has returned to us a very happy and relaxed boy. Mark also sent us regular updates and pictures while we were away. We will certainly be asking Mark to take care of Charlie when we go away in the future and can’t recommend him highly enough for dog boarding services
