Safety, trust & environment
We no longer have dogs of our own and generally accommodate one dog at a time - max. two where the dogs are known to us. No cats or young children at home. A small walled garden and lots of country walks on the doorstep. Being newly retired, I’m therefore at home and available to care for your pets. I understand the importance of a consistent diet and meal plan so instructions are requested and will be followed to ensure whatever you do at home is maintained wherever possible.

Information Mark Dacre J. would like to know about your pet
Dogs like consistency - for me it’s important to understand needs and routines of each individual dog to ensure they get the exercise and care that fulfil the needs of both owner and pet. Please provide details of your pets regular feeding and exercise schedule.
A typical day
We are surrounded by beautiful countryside and fantastic walking in the Surrey hills. Opportunities for off leading walking and playing fetch or find it for dogs that need more mental stimulation. Typically I take dogs in my care on 4 walks per day, 2 short walks for toilet break and two long (60-9 mins.) walks, in a stimulating environment. I am always happy to discuss adaptations to suit your dog’s needs.

Pet care experience
We’ve had three dogs, two from 8 weeks and one a rescue from four years. All lived long fulfilling lives, until 12 and 14.5yrs so both puppy and senior years and needs are familiar . We lost our last dog in Jan 2021 - 14.5 year old German Shorthaired Pointer. Since then we have mostly looked after the dogs of family and friends, most notably working cocker spaniels but also some toy / terrier breeds. I’m now newly retired and able to accommodate more frequent walking/boarding activities. The area near our home is full of wonderful countryside walks to accommodate off lead where preferred. We are also only 8 miles from LGW airport so convenient for those heading off on holiday.
Reviews
We are so glad we found Mark. Crumble has just had a 10 day stay with him and come back tired but happy. He’s had so many lovely walks and clearly Mark and Mandy have provided home from home care. Mark kept us updated with pictures and videos which reassured us he was in good hands. Thank you so much Mark for allowing us to relax on holiday knowing our boy was safe and looked after.

Jupes loves a break with Mark! Home from home

Mark has been incredible with Rocky, very calm and knowledgeable especially as Rocky is still young. Mark is really reliable, always so quickly to reply on dates. He takes good care of Rocky when he stays, Rocky loves going for nice long walks and we get regular updates during the day. Can’t recommend enough.

Our dog Florry had a wonderful stay with Marc and his wife. They took great care of her and she felt very settled and happy. She loved all of her walks in the beautiful countryside. Ee have booked her in again. Thank you so much Marc!
