Availability

I work from home, which means I can spend plenty of time with your dog while house sitting. I’m available throughout the day for walks, playtime, feeding and cuddles, and I’m happy to follow their normal routine as closely as possible. I’ll stay in your home and make sure your dog has plenty of company rather than being left alone for long periods. I’m also respectful of your home and will keep things clean and tidy while you’re away. Whether your dog needs lots of exercise, plenty of attention, or simply someone nearby to keep them company, I’m happy to accommodate their needs.

Safety, trust & environment

Your dog’s safety, comfort and happiness are always my priority. When house sitting, I provide a calm and secure environment in their own home, keeping their normal routine as consistent as possible. I’ll follow any specific instructions you provide, including feeding schedules, walks, medication and any other individual needs. I’ll keep a close eye on your dog, make sure they get plenty of exercise, attention and playtime, and give them lots of affection and companionship while you’re away. I’ll also treat your home with the same care and respect I would expect for my own, keeping everything clean and tidy and making sure your dog is safe and comfortable throughout their stay.

Information Mark C. would like to know about your pet

Please let me know anything important about your dog before the booking, including their usual routine, feeding schedule, exercise needs, personality, likes and dislikes. It’s also helpful to know about any medical conditions, medication, allergies, dietary requirements, fears, behavioural quirks or anything that may cause them stress. I’m happy to follow your instructions and keep their routine as normal as possible while you’re away. The more I know beforehand, the better I can make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable and settled in their own home.

A typical day

A typical day house sitting starts with a morning walk and some fresh air, followed by breakfast and plenty of attention. Throughout the day, I’ll make sure your dog gets the right balance of walks, playtime, company and relaxed downtime depending on their age, energy levels and usual routine. As I work from home, I can be around for most of the day, so your dog won’t be left alone for long periods. We’ll have plenty of time for walks, toys, cuddles and keeping them entertained, while also giving them space to relax in their own home. In the evening, we’ll wind down with another walk, some playtime or simply relaxing together. I’ll follow your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible so they feel comfortable, settled and at home while you’re away.

Pet care experience

I’ve been caring for dogs on and off since I was 10, looking after dogs for neighbours, friends, and family. I’ve cared for dogs of all sizes, ages, and temperaments, including puppies, senior dogs, and everything in between. My experience includes feeding, walking, bathing, playtime, and making sure dogs are comfortable, safe, and well cared for while their owners are away.

I was nervous leaving George with Mark. At 16 he has only been with family and no one else. I shouldn’t have been concerned. Even though George is deaf, particularly blind, he settled in with Mark as if he had known him forever. Mark is a great guy who knows what he is doing, confident and very dog-wise. George was definitely treated as one of the family. Will not hesitate to leave George with Mark again.

5* stay! Our family dog needs a lot of attention and can be apprehensive on short stays but he was so well looked after by Mark. Really good communication and he went the extra mile when we forgot our dogs blankets and toys. I knew Bertie would be content and happy in Marks care. Will be booking again!

George has met Mark, and settled with him 100%. He will love future visits with him.
