A little bit about myself and my love for animals, (dogs especially)! Growing up, I was never allowed to have pets. Yet, I always seemed to house orphaned strays that I'd find, from baby bunnies to stray kittens. My love for animals has no end. It was so exciting for me when I rescued my first dog, Gizmo! My second dog, Oreo and my third dog, Brody. I honestly will say that of all the people I know, that I am definitely the soft hearted type. If I ever won the lottery, I'd have my own NO-KILL, RESCUE Dog shelter with a lot of open land for them to be...DOGS! I became a stay at-home mom in 2019 when our little boy came into our lives. I often find that housing a dog in my own home provides a sense of relief for paw-rents. Being a dog owner myself, I know that for me and my husband having our pooch cared for at home or in someone else's is a MUST! We are not fans of doggie day cares, but it is what we resorted to when there was nobody to call upon. We don't do that anymore because our dogs came back stressed and with questionable accidents. I have cared for 15+ dogs since 2014. We look forward to opening our home up to your furbabies! We live on the Chicago Riverwalk. We are a dog friendly neighborhood area, an added bonus for the furry visitors in our home! We have a gated area, so your pooch will be extra safe!! We also share our furniture with furry guests. This is a dog friendly home! Our dogs (Oreo/RIP) and Brody are great with other dogs, too! They love to play and know when to give a pooch their space. We love to get outdoors for at least 6-8 walks per day. We love fresh air! I'm looking forward to hosting your lovies in my home and giving them a Staycation they'll look forward to returning to, time and time again! I have references for anyone that would like that, too.

When I was taking Theo to a strangers house for the holidays, not going to lie, I was super nervous!!! I found Marizza and Ted through Rover and booked them due to their great reviews from other doggy parents. As soon as I walked in to their house to drop Theo off, my nerves instantly went away. Marizza was so friendly and immedietly started playing with Theo. Throughout my whole 5 day trip, she kept me updated with pictures and videos! It was so amazing! But what was even better??? She got Theo Christmas presents! The cutest sweater, toys, and treats - completely going above and beyond! They even offered to drop Theo off back at home after the stay was over. Overall, the best dog sitting experience I have had. It was so nice to be able to enjoy vacation without having to worry about Theo! :)
Marizza is the best sitter you could ever dream of! Just beware your dog might not ever want to go back home!!! Marizza is a true dog lover and she will take care of your dog as if it were her own. In her care your dog will get lots of kisses, play time, snuggles in the bed, long walks, and undivided attention! I never have to worry when I go on trips because I know my dog will be well taken care of in a loving home instead of having to be at a kennel!
Marizza and Ted were awesome! Rascal had such a good time with them and their pup Oreo. They sent tons of pics and really made Rascal feel right at home. He can't wait to go back on vacation :)

Schedule
I'm a stay at-home mom and always home. I am available to your dog on a daily basis. We like going out for at least 5-6 walks per day, for 20-30mins. (On hot days they are shorter).We get our steps in!

Safety, trust & environment
All of our guests have free roam of our home. My home is their home. My dogs are welcome to coming up on our furniture or any of our dog beds. I have a basket of toys on every floor. This is a free roam home. Patio doors are open on all decks and the pups are free to sun bathe at their leisure. Cool water bowls are always accesible to my furry crew.

A typical day
We live on the Riverwalk, off of Diversey and Western. We are in a VERY dog friendly townhome complex along the Riverwalk. 90% of the residents here own a dog or two. Perfect place for walks and activity. We are 6 blocks from Hamlin Dog Park. We love going on walks along the river and movie nights in our movie room are very relaxing and fun for all our furfriends. We love to cuddle and ALL dogs are allowed to sleep on our bed with us, the couches are always available to our squad. They pride themselves in being non-territorial doggos. Brody is my "welcome committee assistant." His job is to make sure that every dog that stays with us, feels at home. Playing catch and retrieve is our favorite activity.
