Pet care experience

Haven’t met a dog I didn’t like.

At this time can not offer overnight stays when housesitting. I am severely allergic to cats so I cannot accept any house sits, walks or drop ins if you own a cat as well as your pup. I’ve taken care of animals since I was 13. I have experience with distributing both oral and shot form medication both to my own pets as well as ones I have been sitting for. For a summer lived with 7 dogs ranging from a 3 legged Chihuahua to a blind Great Dane. Attentive in temperatures of walking surfaces and in need for constant hydration. Have cared for pets with severe storm, separation or trauma induced anxiety as well as seizures.

I don’t have enough words to express how grateful we are for Mariza. This was our first time having a pet sitter and Mariza eased our worry. She sent photos and updates of our girls throughout the day. When we came back home the girls were happy not only to see us but you could tell that they were left in awesome hands. We will be reaching out to Mariza for any future house sitting.

I can’t say enough about how wonderful Mariza is! We had Mariza take care of our two girls for a week and she was amazing with them; we had constant updates on how the girls were doing (she is a pro at pet photography!) and we could tell that the girls were so happy and comfortable. We also had some unexpected health issues come up with the dogs right before we left and she handled it with complete ease and professionalism. Leaving your fur babies is always hard but we will never hesitate to leave them with Mariza!

Mariza was super punctual and loving to our Senior Schnauzer, she kept her calm cool and collected, sending us status photos and videos, our dog was so happy with her, she didn't want to let her go after the session and that for us was a first. This was our first Rover experience and would recommend her to any one.

Mariza did such a great job with our boys! She provided several updates throughout the day and asked questions which made us feel like she really cared to make their routine as close to ours as possible. Highly recommend!

Mariza was wonderful with our senior & diabetic pup! She gave us updates and was very accommodating to our requests, and was very patient with Beauty. Beauty had a great time!

Calendar and availability

Schedule

I’m currently substitute teaching so I choose my own schedule and can take days off with a 3 day notice. Otherwise I am home and available at any time.

Where your pet will stay

Safety, trust & environment

We have a fenced in dog park within our apartment complex. Pets are allowed on furniture and in bed with us if so desired. My own pet is a laid back hound dog that will play with your dog or sleep for hours with them on the couch. If your dog would rather play with a human I’d be happy to do so.

Pets

A typical day

I have puzzles that can be moved with nose or paws in order to get to a treat. This stimulates the brain and lessens frustration over lack of activity. I love to play fetch, tag, tug of war and whatever other games you find most entertaining for your pet. I personally encourage dental sticks and chews to freshen breath and break down plaque.

Would love to know how often your animal needs to be walked/ taken out. Any medications that need to be administered. What their temperament is typically like. Any allergies or food sensitivities to be aware of. Any fears or anxieties such as loud sounds, storms or fireworks.
