Friendly and responsible petsitter
Growing up, I helped care for my family’s Goldendoodle, Dachshund, and four cats. I’m comfortable with dogs of all sizes (though I might hesitate around pups who weigh more than I do - over 110 lbs), cats, rabbits, and other furry friends. A little about me: My most recent reviews are from a few years ago, as I’ve since moved abroad to pursue a PhD. I’m back in DC this year and have rejoined Rover for a few reasons: to help offset the cost of my transatlantic flight, lend a hand to someone traveling over the holidays, and enjoy the company of a furry friend so neither of us gets lonely. Everybody wins! :) A few booking details: Stays of 10–21 days are welcome, and at this time, I can only accept bookings of at least 7 nights. My profile currently says I can care for only one pet. I haven’t quite figured out how to update that setting, but I’m happy to care for multiple pets, up to a maximum of four at a time, so I can make sure each one gets the attention and care they deserve. Safety, trust & environment
I share a house with pet-friendly roommates who would probably be happy to interact with your dog. I have a medium-sized, fenced backyard with a private entrance to my room. The backyard is big enough for small and medium sized dogs to roam about. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions! (Please note: this is an old description from a few years ago. Mariya was excellent housesitting for our two cats. She was extremely communicative, responsive, and reliable. I knew after an initial video call that she was trustworthy and responsible. When we returned home, our apartment was spotless and our boys were happy and well taken care of. I would 100% book Mariya again. Strongly recommend!
Mariya was wonderful and took such great care of our puppy while we were away! We were stress free during our vacation and came home to a clean house and a very happy pup!
This was my first experience using Roover services and thankfully Mariya was great!! She was very quick to respond, sweet, and professional. My girl Honey has some separation anxiety (pandemic pup) and I didn’t want her barking the building down while I was out so Mariya stayed at my house for a few hours and kept her company. I would definitely rebook with Mariya in the future!
Mariya stayed with my two cats for two weeks. She was communicative and left the house tidy.

So awesome! Stayed at our house for 9 days with our 4 year old Shih tzu and 11 fish :) Walked dog every four hours, took great care of her, sent videos and updates. Even mailed my important document to me overnight while I was on vacay. She’s awesome. 10/10 recommend and will only hope she’s still available for my next trip.

Schedule
My schedule is very flexible during the time I’m back in the States. I am mostly visiting friends in the area and getting some personal business done. I will adjust my schedule to meet your pet’s needs.
