Hi I'm Marissa! I am an active dog lover! I currently live in Toms River with my two dogs, a Basenji and a Chihuahua Terrier. In my lifetime I have had five amazing dogs who I have cared and loved for their entire lives! I trained both of my current dogs from puppies to the now age of 5. I also used to volunteer at shelters in Alabama and take care of the dogs. I made it a goal to bring one out for the day at least once a week! I rescued multiple dogs off the streets there as well and found shelters to take them in as Alabama has a very big stray population. I have been taking care of dogs and cats for 7 years. I have always been an animal lover, my own pets I have had throughout my life include dogs, fish, chinchillas, rats and gerbils. I have over 20 repeat clients in the Ocean County area, I care for animals of all different breeds and backgrounds!

The most important thing to me is your pets comfortability. I will always take the time to come over and get to know your pets needs before our visit starts. If we are doing overnights, I am more than happy to come for 30 minutes days before just to hang out with your pet, and make sure they dont feel like they are being left with a stranger! I make sure to ask lots of questions and make sure I know the best care for your pet!

Bella loved her time with Marissa. Marissa kept us informed about Bella throughout the entire time. We were a bit worried because we had just adopted Bella about five week prior but Marissa made a smooth transition into getting Bella to trust her and made Marissa her new best friend. We will definitely use Marissa when ever we need to go out of town.
Marissa is very dependable and did a great job caring for Mirabelle during an overnight stay. Mirabelle loved her and I will be using her again when I am away. Highly recommend!
She was amazing with my dog which was having some walking issues. Buddy loved her!!
If I could give Marissa 10 stars, I would. From the moment we met at my home for the "meet and greet", I felt at ease and my anxious almost 2 1/2 year-old Yorkie took to Marissa right away. Unfortunately, he's not very socialized with people or other dogs. Marissa was great with him from the moment they met. I had to have surgery, and unfortunately, I had to be at the surgeon's office at 7:00 am, which is 1 1/2 hours away so I had to leave my house by 5:30 am. When I mentioned to Marissa that she had to be here at 5:30 am, she didn't hesitate for a moment. She was not only punctual, but knowing I was extremely nervous about getting there on time, she arrived 10 minutes early. Marissa is very sweet and caring, and Harley was a happy boy with her here. I will definitely have Marissa stay with him again should I need to use a sitter in the future. If anyone is searching for a pet sitter in this area, I highly recommend Marissa! Schedule
I am a part time private chef and in graduate school for Clinical Mental Health Counseling! I am working to get my LPC and become a therapist. I only work three days a week at both jobs.
