Pet care fits easily into my daily routine, especially during the summer since I have a very flexible schedule and a lot of free time. I’m available throughout the day for walks, feeding, playtime, bathroom breaks, and giving pets attention and care whenever they need it.

I’ve had a dog my whole life, so I’m very comfortable caring for pets and being around different dog personalities. In my client’s home, I would make sure their dog is fed on schedule, has fresh water, gets taken outside or on walks, has playtime and attention, and feels safe and comfortable while their owners are away. I would also carefully follow any instructions the owner provides, including routines, medications, or special care needs.

A typical day
We will go on walks to explore the neighborhood and stretch their legs, have some play sessions with their favorite toys or a good game of fetch if it’s their style. After all the exercising I give them some pets to feel loved and right at home.

What sets me apart is that I’ve been around dogs my whole life and trained my own dog to be very gentle and well-behaved when I was only 9 years old. I’m also very good at reading dogs’ body language, which helps me understand when they’re nervous, playful, excited, or need space so I can make them feel comfortable and safe.

I reached out to Marissa to look after my 11 year old chocolate lab Molly for a long weekend (Thursday - Monday), 3 times a day. She was responsive, communicative, friendly and loved Molly like her own. She sent me pictures each time she stopped in and messaged me with any questions she had, no matter how big or small. I highly recommend Marissa. She's knowledgeable, confident and I will be using her again!!
I highly recommend Marissa. She is such a sweet girl, super kind, and has been walking my dog for about a year, taking such good care of my girl. She goes the extra mile and creates a real bond with your pet. She is always on time and sometimes stays a little longer to play with my dog.
