I’m currently between jobs (biotech in the bay) and am happy to add some structure to my days with pet care. I’m available weekdays for visits, walks, and care. Not able to do boarding or home sits at this time.

Pet care experience
I’ve been taking care of animals for 20+ years. I grew up with a cat and 2 dogs, rode horses, volunteered at animal shelters, and we currently have 2 tuxedo kitties. I have been volunteering with local animals shelters for the past 10+ years; mainly dogs, cats, and small animals. I usually opt to support pet care (feeding, kennel cleaning, walks) and recently I have been supporting surgeries (spays, neuter, etc). From all of my experiences, I’ve found that patience, respect, and kindess are the pillars to good interactions with animals. The most important thing to me will always be the well-being of your pet. I met Marissa as a co-worker about 4 years ago. Not only is she organized, knowledgeable, reliable and a patient instructor for her co-workers, but she is also an adopter of 2 cats that I know of and has even rescued animals herself. Marissa would be a wonderful experienced caregiver. I think any animal put in her charge would benefit from her attention.
Marissa is great with my dog Ev. She is caring a great communicator. She sends me a picture while they are on their walks. I highly recommend Marissa for dog walking.
Marissa is one of those people who just gets pets. I've known her over 10 years and she treats all animals as the family they are. Pets love her and flock to her whenever she's around. My cats and my dog have both chosen her over me on several occasions. Shes responsible and communicative. She's kind and gentle with pets while still being able to handle the rambunctious ones with firmness and care.
