Hiii, I’m Marissa! I’ve been working with animals since I was 12 as I cared for my first litter of puppies, and ever since I have loved caring for pets! I grew up with six dogs of all shapes and sizes (from a toy poodle to American Bullies and a Bullmastiff/Rottie mix!). Over the years, I’ve volunteered at shelters and worked at facilities with service dogs in training, and now I care for pups of every breed and personality at a boarding, training, daycare, and enrichment facility. Whether it’s playful puppies, shy rescues, or big dogs with big feelings (yes, even the ones who need a muzzle), I’ve seen and loved them all. I have hands-on experience with anxious, reactive, and shelter pets, and I approach every animal with patience and an open heart/mind. I don't have a specific style in the way I approach a pet. I always let the dog come to me. I never force interactions I usually try to give them the time and space to feel safe and settle in. Once they do, it’s belly rubs, butt scratches, and bonding time. I absolutely love helping pets feel at home, especially when I know and understand that they’re missing their people.

I do currently live in an apartment with a year old cat but she can be separated from a dog/cat if needed! If a dog needs to be crated make sure to provide your own and i’ll be happy to do so!

Marissa has stopped by a couple times for drop ins and is very patient with my scared and anxious dogs. She is very friendly and communicative! I am having her come back weekly.
We can’t thank Marissa enough for the incredible care and compassion she showed for our sweet kitty. During one of her drop-in visits, she noticed something was seriously wrong—our cat was vomiting blood—and without hesitation, she took immediate action. She rushed her to the emergency vet, stayed with her until she could be seen, and kept us updated every step of the way. Her quick thinking, kindness, and dedication quite literally saved our kitty’s life. It’s hard to put into words how much peace of mind it brings to know someone loves and protects your pet as if they were their own. We will forever be grateful to her for going above and beyond in such a scary moment. She is a true hero in our eyes, and we can’t recommend her enough.

My dogs loved her!
I cannot recommend Marissa enough! She took such amazing care of my cat while I was away. From the regular updates (including the cutest photos/videos !) to the genuine attention and affection they gave my fur baby, I felt completely at ease knowing my cat was in such good hands. Simba is usually shy around new people, but she warmed up to Marissa so quickly — which says a lot! The litter box was spotless, the food and water bowls were always clean, and most importantly, my cat was happy and relaxed when I returned home. If you’re looking for someone who is responsible, caring, and clearly an animal lover, Marissa is the one. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!

Schedule
I currently work 35 hours a week with dogs and animals in daycare, boarding, training, and enrichment facility! I get my schedule weekly, every Sunday unfortunately so that is the day I update my schedule for the upcoming week! I am always happy to work around my schedule if you are open to it. If you have any questions, feel free to ask me!
