Hello!!! My name is Mari, I am an artist & free spirited person who is inspired by the healing arts, and has been using ancient methods of the “soma” (body) to intimately care for our local animals and humans for over a decade now. What makes my approach different is that I weave intuitive somatic awareness in with regular pet care. I am attuned to the subtle body languages (nervous system responses) of beings whom do not speak our language, (lol) and am honored to act as a steady, grounded presence for them. 😚 Animals are in constant communication with us, I tune in to “hear” them, and because domesticated life usually does not cater to most their primal instincts, it is natural for our pets to feel unexpressed tension…as it is the slight disconnect between what they feel on the inside and what they experience on the outside, playing out through the physic and mental channels & manifesting in the body. By tuning into their body languages, (their emotional 'whereabouts,’) and helping them subtly release the stressed points in their bodies, we help them access the animal within (that curious, trusting core self) so they feel safe, understood, and relaxed to be themselves. I weave this support into our daily rhythm through intuitive sound, touch, massage, and interactive play. To your pup, it feels like normal gentle warmth/affection/play but can leave a lasting effect, especially if it is continued at home. :) My caregiving is laid back, intuitive and flowy in nature. When your pup is with me, our home is a place of fun, peaceful & calming music, exploration, and wonder for them. Many owners have noticed their pet coming home to them more grounded, happy, and themself. 💖 My sweet spot is caring for pets who are anxious or sensitive but if your animal is one of those "rarer breeds" who thrive in any situation, they will love it here too!!! They will likely come to expand on what they’re already great at and enjoy the change of scenery. ☀️🌞 My home has a great big (fenced) yard with a few small, doggy sized trampolines, nice shade, and was created to be magical for all our friends-humans and animals alike. ☀️🌞 Austin clients for Boarding: Jarrell is where my main space for animals is, and due to being back and forth regularly to Austin, I am offering free round-trip pick-ups and drop-offs for my Austin clients to help make things easier! I have two sweet, small teenager to senior pups of my own, Ginger and Saba, who were once clients and became family! <3 🐶 —- If your pup needs solo care / alone time: My space will be 100% dedicated just to them, and my dogs will stay with my parents. (Please let me know). My dogs aren't listed on my main profile so sensitive animals who need solo care can find me! —-If your pups enjoy companionship: Let me know also! Ginger and Saba love making new friends and are great at helping new dogs settle in. :) —-If our vibe is something that interests you, and you feel like your pup would be a great addition here, or want a calming refuge/extra emotional care for your pet, please reach out! I’d love to meet!!! Ps!! I am always happy to do meet & greets. This was my first time leaving my dog for several days, and I used to have to drive all the way to Round Rock for boarding. Luckily, Marissa now offers boarding in my neighborhood. My dog isn’t very social, but she and her dogs welcomed him so warmly. She sent daily pictures, and he looked so happy and comfortable with them. We’ll definitely be back :)
Marissa was absolutely WONDERFUL. She does such a good job checking in on my dog and always sends pics and feedback while in her care. I totally trust my dog in her care. Highly recommend her!

Schedule
Your pup will be with me most of the day. My flexible schedule allows our days to flow, leaving plenty of room for outdoor time, exploration, and focused affection. :)

Our days are a balance of exploration and rest!! We’ll enjoy outdoor playtime in the sun in the background, walks around the neighborhood, and lots of cuddling. :)
