Pet care fits very naturally into my daily routine since I’m home full-time. Your pet will be part of our day-to-day life, getting consistent attention, supervision, and care throughout the day. Our schedule is flexible and centered around the needs of the pets in my care, including regular potty breaks, meals, playtime, and rest. Because I’m home most of the time, your pet won’t be left alone for long periods and will have a steady, comfortable routine. That said, I do occasionally step out for things like my sons’ extracurricular activities or quick errands (like grocery runs), but I always plan these around the pets in my care and keep time away minimal. Overall, your pet will spend the majority of their time in a calm, home environment with plenty of attention, consistency, and companionship.

Since I’m home full-time, your pet will have consistent care and won’t be left alone for long periods. We have a large fenced-in backyard where dogs can safely play and explore, and I’m always outside with them during that time. Inside, I keep things calm and cozy so pets can relax, feel comfortable, and settle in at their own pace. I pay close attention to each pet’s personality and comfort level, especially with my children, and make sure everyone feels safe and at ease. I carefully follow all care instructions, including feeding schedules, potty routines, medications, crate use, and any specific preferences your pet may have. I also like to learn about your pet’s personality ahead of time so I can provide the best possible care. For the safety of my children and all pets in my care, I’m best suited for well-mannered dogs who are comfortable around kids, are not aggressive, and do not have a history of escape behaviors. Communication is very important to me, so I provide regular updates and photos so you can feel confident that your pet is safe, happy, and well cared for at all times.

A typical day
A typical day in our home is full of love, play, and plenty of attention! My boys and I love going on walks, so if your pup enjoys daily walks, I’m more than happy to include that in our routine. We also spend a lot of time outside in our large, fenced-in backyard, where your dog can safely run, play, and burn off energy. At the same time, rest and routine are an important part of our day, making this a great fit for dogs who are comfortable in a calm environment, enjoy lounging, and do well with children. I’m always happy to follow your pet’s established schedule and care instructions to keep things familiar and stress-free. My goal is to provide a peaceful, dependable home where your pet can truly relax while you’re away.

Hi, I’m Marissa! I’m 29 years old and a lifelong animal lover. I grew up surrounded by all kinds of pets—dogs, cats, turtles, ferrets, birds—you name it! Caring for animals has always been second nature to me, whether that meant giving medication, calming them during thunderstorms, or just making sure they felt safe, loved, and comfortable. I’m home full-time, which means your pet will get plenty of attention, care, and companionship throughout the day. I have two young sons (ages 8 and 2) who absolutely love animals, so there’s no shortage of playtime and affection here! I pride myself on being reliable, flexible, and trustworthy. When your pet is with me, they’ll be treated like part of the family—whether that’s playtime, snuggles, or even letting them steal my spot on the bed (it happens more often than I’d like to admit!). I’m comfortable caring for a wide variety of animals, including birds and cats, and I’m happy to follow any specific routines or care instructions your pet needs. I’ll also send regular photo updates so you can feel confident and at ease while you’re away. Because I have young children, it’s important that pets are comfortable around kids.
