Holistic, Somatic-Based Care for Your Pet 🌿 Hi! My name is Marissa, and I have been intimately caring for both animals and humans for well over a decade. One thing that makes my approach unique is that I offer holistic, stylized caregiving. Animals experience major transitions when their routines change or their owners leave. My approach is rooted in somatic awareness. I specialize in being a steady, grounded presence for pets navigating anxiety, big shifts, or sensitive stages of life. I focus on co-regulation, honoring their pace, and helping them feel safe in their bodies while you're away. Tuning Into "The Animal Within" 🐶🐱 Domestication can sometimes create a cyclical, physical dissonance for animals as they navigate what they feel on the inside versus what they experience on the outside. In my care, we gently work on releasing these repressed anxieties to free up space for them to explore and connect with their surroundings in a brand new way. To stimulate their heart, body, and mind, I incorporate intentional somatic methods: Sound Therapy: Intuitive singing and speaking to soothe the nervous system. Somatic Touch: Tailored massage and intentional touch to release physical tension. Interactive Play: Movement designed to help them safely explore their instinctual, curious selves. Whether your pet is working through underlying anxiety or is a "rare breed" who already thrives in any circumstance and wants to expand their gifts, my goal is to return them to you feeling grounded, resilient, and deeply "themselves." 🏡 Important Boarding PSA (Solo vs. Social Care) I am blessed to have two sweet, small, older pups of my own, Ginger and Saba, who are incredibly loving and social. Because I want to cater to all emotional needs, my dogs are not officially listed on my profile. This allows my profile to be searchable for sensitive animals that require or request solo time with me. If your pup needs a completely dog free environment: My space will be 100% dedicated to them. My dogs will happily spend their time staying with my parents. If your pup thrives on companionship: Let me know! Ginger and Saba love making new friends and can easily be brought home to join in on the fun and help your dog settle in comfortably. ✨ Austin & Jarrell Stays: I split my time between Austin and my home in Jarrell, which is where my dedicated space for the animals is located. Because I am back and forth constantly, I happily provide complimentary round trip pick-ups and drop-offs for my Austin clients to make your experience seamless and stress free! About Me Outside of pet care, I have spent the last 15 years as a somatic guide, helping both myself and loved ones navigate grief, release physical constraints, and find freedom. This was my first time leaving my dog for several days, and I used to have to drive all the way to Round Rock for boarding. Luckily, Marissa now offers boarding in my neighborhood. My dog isn’t very social, but she and her dogs welcomed him so warmly. She sent daily pictures, and he looked so happy and comfortable with them. We’ll definitely be back :)
Marissa was absolutely WONDERFUL. She does such a good job checking in on my dog and always sends pics and feedback while in her care. I totally trust my dog in her care. Highly recommend her!

Schedule
Animal care is my full time focus, so your pup will be with me most of the day. My flexible schedule allows our days to flow naturally, leaving plenty of room for outdoor time, playful exploration, and deeply focused attention tailored to their rhythm.

Safety and emotional comfort always come first. I introduce animals to new spaces slowly, reading their subtle body language to ensure they feel entirely safe. My home is a calm sanctuary where every pet is treated like family, and I’ll send plenty of updates and photos so you feel connected.
A typical day
Our days are a balance of active exploration and restful integration. We’ll enjoy outdoor playtime in the sun, sensory walks, and interactive play. I balance this with quiet downtime, tailoring our activities entirely to your animal's unique blueprint, whether they want to play or cuddle.
