Prior farm girl protects your pack
I’ve cared for animals my entire life; from horses to chickens to snakes to chinchillas... I “get” animals on their level. I specialize in helping dogs with special needs (anxiety, reactivity, seniors, etc) feel safe and confident, in your home or mine. I’m both a dog and cat person, but currently I only have an extremely gentle senior GSD named Ender living with me who loves meeting new friends of every species. I’d love to help make your non-human packmates feel happy, healthy and loved!

Marissa has been my pups’ go-to sitter for several months now. She is incredibly attentive and they just love her - they are SO happy during her visits and it’s clear in the photos and vids she shares. Recently, one of my dogs needed administration of some meds as well as some extra attention with a cone of shame. Marissa handled everything wonderfully and I felt good knowing he was in trusted hands. BOOK HER, if you can!

Schedule
I’m currently working part-time in the creative nonprofit sector, hybrid remote. I typically travel between Wheat Ridge and Lakewood when I do have be on-site, otherwise I’m mostly working at home. We go to the Berkeley dog park ~3x a week and bigger hikes on the weekends.

Safety, trust & environment
Communication is key! I’m adept with administering medication or offering care for pets with specific needs, and a quick to communicate if I feel something is not right. If invited into your home, I will be respectful of your space and possessions. I do require dogs staying at my place to do a meet & greet here to introduce Ender, and animals with separation anxiety are expected to be crate trained or otherwise safely securable (like in a back bedroom) to comfortably stay.

A typical day
My days are fluid but tend to follow a pattern of working from home most mornings and working out of the home in the afternoons…which works great for pup’s nap time after a morning of engagement. Early afternoon-evening I’m home again for walks, meds, playtime, or maybe your pup just wants to snuggle in the hammock while I work on the laptop. All good!
