I’ve taken care of pets from birds, gerbils, chinchillas to dogs, cats and bunnies. I have been around pets from a very early age and consider my pets as family. I’ve worked as a kennel tech for 5 years and have my Certificate in Veterinary Technology. I have plenty of animals myself and love taking care of them. Update 2024: I have switched careers for more scheduling freedom and personal responsibility. I am constantly working with animals still as a dog groomer🥰 I love working with animals and will continue to do my best to ensure safety and wellbeing of every pet I encounter. I will continue to do animal research on the side to help provide the best care possible for every furry family member☺️

This is the second time Marisa has watched our dog Shawdi at our house while we were gone. Our dog is very happy staying with her. Our house is just like we left it when we come back. Highly recommend Marisa.
Marissa is a wonderful pet sitter who took excellent care of our fur baby. She is very warm and friendly and was great with our pet. When we came home after our weekend away our pet was relaxed and happy. During our time away Marissa sent us photos and videos of our pet having fun with her own pets which was really nice and we felt relaxed and knew our pet is safe with her. I look forward to booking Marissa again in the future!

Schedule
I do work as a dog groomer Monday- Saturday in the morning from 8-2pm. Would like an advanced notice although I can try and work around your scheduling preference.

Safety, trust & environment
I have a blind cat who needs special care, and had a cat previously with medication administration. I also have 1 cats on a special diet food and a dog with a very chronic luxating patella, he often gets meds if needed. I also have a very happy very energetic Queensland whom I love taking out for long walks and park visits. I understand many pets and people have a routine, I am willing to take care of animals with special needs if owners consent to it. As an owner of special needs pets I know it can be difficult for people to trust their babies with others and hope my qualifications can ease their worry if needed.
Pets
A typical day
I love to walk dogs around the neighborhood, I’ll walk my own pups to Starbucks, Dutch bros or yogurt mil to get a quick snack. Games can be played like fetch, puzzle games and hide and seek with treats. Toys are a must!
