Pet care experience
I have cared for friends, coworkers, and families pets for many years and have increased my clientele by word of mouth and from those that have been happy with my services. I am a licensed veterinary nurse receiving my degree from Michigan State University. I have lots of experience with pets that need medical attention (medicating, special care), and pets from puppies to geriatric. I love making people feel comfortable that their pet is well cared for while they are at work or out of town.

Marissa is an absolute star! I booked at the last minute, right before the Christmas holiday, and she made time for a meet & greet, at which she was so friendly and really put me at ease. (This was my first time using Rover.) Marissa showed up for drop-in’s on time, followed all of my instructions, and I felt comfortable knowing she could give my cat her insulin injections while I was away - something I was nervous about before. She sent me pictures at each visit, and was very communicative and responsive the whole time. I’ll definitely be a repeat customer!
Marissa took amazing care of our pets (dog and cat) while we were gone! She was super reliable and easy to work with. She provided frequent updates with pictures and made us feel comfortable while we were away. We will definitely be using her again!!

I goto my clients homes for pet care to make sure the pet is in the most comfortable place, their home and am sure to follow the day to day schedule as if the owner were home taking care of their pet to ensure there is no schedule change or change in how they go outside.

please let me know if your pet has any special needs or behaviors that require special care. I have worked with geriatric dogs and cats, deaf dogs, senior dogs that were forgetful, cats and dogs that needed medicating both orally and injecting, and reactive dogs. I have no preference in types of dogs or cats I just prefer learning about them before hand.
A typical day
I love to engage your dog and any play or physical activity that is their favorite such as playing with their favorite ball in the yard or tug-of-war or a good session of zoomies in the back yard. I also enjoy going outside getting some fresh air and playing as well or going on a walk.

I have a full time position as a vet nurse at the university of Pennsylvania working from 7:30-4 Monday thru Friday with the occasional weekend.
