Hello! I am 29 years old, a current graduate student at the U and part-time cat sitter/dog walker. I have a ton of experience in pet care and have been doing Rover since 2017. My interest in becoming a pet sitter/dog walker was because I have a huge passion for animals and as a pet owner myself, I know how difficult it is to be away from your beloved pets and putting your trust into someone to care for them isn’t always easy. Steady communication and constant updates will help ease some of those worries. I take advantage of the various features of the app to always keep owners in the loop! BACKGROUND: Growing up in the country, I was taught the responsibility of owning a pet at a young age. Living near farms, I owned and was exposed to lots of different animals and pets. I’m familiar and comfortable around all breeds of dogs and animals. I am also familiar with ecollar technology and have experience with dog obedience training.

Marissa went above and beyond with our 3 cats! She made sure they were comfortable, scooped litter, played with them, refilled food and water, and cleaned up some small messes they left on the floor. We are very happy with the quick responses and information Marissa was giving us when we were away. We even have a shy cat who is now very fond of her and would come out for pets! Thanks Marissa!!

Marissa was amazing with my cat! This was the first time I’ve had to leave my cat alone, and he’s pretty high maintenance, so I was very worried. But it was clear early on that he was in good hands with Marissa! She was great about keeping me updated and found ways to get my cat to take his medication, which can be tricky. So grateful to have found her. Would rebook her again 100%!
Marissa was wonderful with our kitties, even though they can be quite shy. She went above and beyond to still try and make sure they came out to say hi, had plenty of blanket forts for them to hide and feel comfortable under and toys to play with when they felt like being social, and always kept us up to date. She was able to help us out in a pinch over the holidays as well and for that we’re so thankful!! 10/10 communication and care!
Marissa gives such peace of mind and heart knowing my fur babies are well looked after!! Goes the extra mile and played with them too.
Marissa has been a great dog sitter. She leaves reports detailing her experience after each drop-in, and goes the extra step of cleaning up any messes left by my dog. She’s been friendly and timely.

Schedule
I typically reserve time in my mornings & evenings for drop-in visits and walks. During the summer, I am far more flexible versus during school year.
