Reliable, Caring & Detailed! 🐾
Hi, I’m Marissa—a professional pet sitter with years of hands-on experience and a genuine love for animals of all kinds. I take pride in being dependable, compassionate, and detail-oriented. Whether it’s a senior dog needing extra patience, a cat recovering from surgery, or an anxious pup who just needs someone to earn their trust, I’m here to help. With no pets of my own at home, your pet receives my full attention and affection every time I visit or if they are boarded at my place. I’ve cared for hundreds of animals, including dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, fish, sugar gliders, dragons, and turtles. I'm happy to accommodate special needs, quirks, or routines. I also volunteer with the Denver Dumb Friends League (now Denver Humane), where I work with animals requiring everything from post-op care to help with separation anxiety and behavior management. This experience has deepened my skills and empathy for pets at every stage of life. My goal is simple: to give your pet the same love and attention you would—so you can feel confident and worry-free while you're away. Let’s set up a meet and greet so I can get to know you and your pet!

Ratings and reviews
We have used Marissa for awhile now and our family just couldn't be happier with her. Our dog starts doing happy circles when he sees her coming through the window. She sends lots of updates and beautiful pics of our dog having fun while we're away. We almost feel a little guilty coming back! We have referred her to our friends. We just really appreciate having found her.

Marissa is the best! Always great updates and super sweet.

Marissa was great, sent us rover cards each day, kept us informed, took lots of photos.

Marissa took wonderful care of our two dogs while we were out of town! We felt totally comfortable with her in our home, and she sent excellent and honest updates on how they were doing. We will definitely use her services again!

Marissa is amazing!!! She took the best care of our dog who is a bit shy and anxious at times. She sent us pictures and updates throughout the day to let us know how our girl was doing. I highly recommend asking Marissa to care for your furry family members!

Great dog walker, would definitely use again. Sweet photos too!

Schedule
After 20+ years in the fast-paced world of advertising in NYC, I decided it was time for a more fulfilling path. I left the corporate grind behind to pursue what truly brings me joy: caring for animals. Now, I couldn’t be happier. It’s all pets, all the time—and I absolutely love it.
Where your pet will stay
Home characteristics
Safety, trust & environment
Your pet’s safety and comfort are always my top priorities. I maintain a calm, structured, and attentive environment—whether we’re relaxing at home, heading out for a walk, or going on an adventure together. Meet and greets are required to get a good sense each other! As an active outdoors lover, I regularly run, bike, and hike. I’m happy to include your pup in the fun, if they’re up for it! I’ve completed multiple marathons, triathlons, and a trail ultra, so I can keep up with even the most energetic companions.
A typical day
Every pet is unique, so I tailor our day based on your pet’s energy level, personality, and routine. I love to play, cuddle, and mentally stimulate dogs and cats to keep them active, engaged, and happy throughout the day. For high-energy pets, the day might include a brisk walk, a run (for an extra fee), or a game of fetch in the yard—followed by rest and some belly rubs. Older or lower-energy pets enjoy slow, gentle walks and plenty of relaxed lounging by my side. I keep a close eye on each pet’s well-being, ensuring they stay comfortable, hydrated, and happy. I’m happy to include enrichment activities, administer medication, and offer basic grooming upon request. Plus, I always send regular updates, photos, and videos so you can stay connected while you're away.
