Marissa has always loved dogs. We got our family dog when she was 4. She was the best little caregiver our dog could have asked for. Our pet is now 17 years old and Marissa FaceTimes her from university. As a child , her bedroom was dog themed. From pictures to posters and teddy bears, her room was covered. Even her sweatshirts and pajamas were printed with dogs. When she was a 4-H member, she chose the canine project, where the leader was a vet. She learned about dog nutrition and health. In high school, as part of one of her classes, she was required to complete volunteer hours. Finding volunteer opportunities was complicated by COVID guidelines. She easily rose to the challenge and walked dogs. She has a lifetime of loving all animals, not just dogs. Marissa is often mistaken as being shy. She is actually just quiet. She has a gentle and compassionate nature. People and animals trust her easily. She is also responsible and reliable. Canines and owners will love Marissa!
