I am currently working from home and have a very flexible schedule. We just wrapped up our season of weddings so I am home most weekends as well. I already take Hudson for 2 walks a day and LOVE walking, I also have a fenced in yard making it easy for quick potty breaks of just some fun and fresh air mid day!

I consider myself a bit crazy when it comes to safety, as a puppy Hudson was always trying to eat EVERYTHING. Therefore I learned quickly to never leave him unsupervised. Even though he has grown out of this phase I still keep a close eye on him at all times, we essentially have a baby-proofed house, our only baby just happens to have 4 paws instead of 2 legs.

Pet care experience

I’ve taken care of dogs from small to large breed since I was a little girl. Starting with our first family dog, our Yorkshire terrier Bailey. Continuing on to watching/walking/house sitting for friends and family. We introduced Hudson our AKC Golden Retriever just over a year ago to the family and it’s been my favorite experience yet. We completed the STAR puppy program including 6 weeks of in home training and 6 weeks of in person training, as an anyone who’s done one on one training, we learned more than Hudson did in that time! But we’ve been working with Hudson on it ever since. We learned how to be successful at teaching Sit, lay down, off, leave it, get it, stay, place, the list goes on and on. I have experience with senior dogs as well, including dogs requiring medication. Most importantly I love dogs more than anything and just simply want to give them the best stay/walk/experience as possible in whatever time I can have with them!

Marissa and her husband were great with my dog Blue. They went the extra mile to help settle him in and deal with some of his rowdy behaviors. Lots of fun was had with their golden Hudson and plenty of pictures were shared. Highly recommend!

Marissa was great! She was able to sit for my two dogs very last minute. She kept close watch and care of them and they had a great time playing with her and her adorable golden retriever, Hudson. Would definitely recommend her to a friend and will definitely use her again when we need a sitter!

Marissa watched our dogs for 4 nights at her home and our dogs truly enjoyed the stay with Marissa! She was awesome for them and one of my dogs that is typically in hiding for a day or 2 without me instantly gravitated toward Marissa and loved being with her. Would definitely recommend Marissa and we will for sure use her again!

Marissa is a positive, kind-hearted and exceptional human being. My animals are my family and I wouldn’t just trust anyone to care for them. Marissa loves my pets as if they were her own and I fully trust her with them and wouldn’t hesitate to ask her to watch them. She has a dog named Hudson who I can see that she loves very much. Hudson has a kind, warm welcoming demeanor much like Marissa herself, I feel as though your pet’s temperament says a lot about your character.
