Safety, trust & environment

When I'm at the client's home I always stay over a bit longer just to make sure everyone is good and happy. Can also water plants if needed. While they are staying with me they have access to the whole house or if they just aren't friendly with other dogs I rotate for everyone's safety. So the yard has a 6ft wooden privacy fence and locks on the gates so escaping is a bit harder than usual. I'm also a previous animal control officer so I have a bunch of skills dealing with not so friendly critters and how to catch the unsure ones etc etc.

Information Marissa B. would like to know about your pet

If they have special needs just let me know and I will make accomodations for them as well as if they're not pet friendly then I can section them off for that too so they can still safely be boarded somewhere and their parents go on vacation as I know it's very hard to find safe spaces for reactive dogs as well.

A typical day

We play ball in the back yard, play in the water hose or sprinkler weather permitting, I do photography as well so if you'd like photos of your pups I can absolutely offer that, I have sniff mats, frozen treat toys I make with whatever food their parents prefer, I can work on tricks if wanted or simple training as well, and mind games or walks around the neighborhood!

Pet care experience

Hello! My name is Marissa and I have cared for animals of all species and sizes for 20+years. Volunteered with the local shelters and vets offices. I am a certified dog trainer as well. I take care of pets as well as livestock. I have also been certified in pet first aide and CPR! Do you have reptiles? No problem! We do all sorts and make sure they feel comfortable and happy while you're away! If you have any questions feel free to ask! I have 5 dogs of my own. I also own horses so am very familiar with their care and one of mine is older and has special care needs. But I've had all sorts of small animals growing up, reptiles, birds, you name it I've had it. Except spiders. Not a spider fan!

Marissa was incredible. Not only did she tailor her visits to fit the needs of our pups but went above and beyond to make sure that they were more than taken care of. Very communicative and very thorough throughout the entire process. We will definitely be scheduling drop-ins with her again!

Marissa has cared for all of my fur babies on several occasions. She is attentive to all of their needs and is very knowledgeable about. She has cared for my horses, dogs, goats, chickens. My dogs are excited every time they see her and give her a warm greeting. I am very comfortable leaving them with her knowing they are happy and well cared for when I must be away!
