Marissa took such good care (and took such good photos!) of Twix. She provided regular updates and was flexible on pick-up and drop-off times. Marissa also took care of a paw injury that Twix was dealing with during her stay - she made sure to watch her, use a cone when needed, and give Twix topical and pill medication. Twix loved the hikes that Marissa and Tofu took her on - we would leave Twix with Marissa ...
Marissa took excellent care of my 18y.o. cat Taylor. She was professional, kind, and easily handled Taylor’s complicated food and medication regime. She left my house clean and followed all my instructions. I would absolutely recommend her. Thanks so much!
Marissa and Tofu provide a wonderful home away from home for our dog. It’s obvious that he’s well-cared for and well-loved when he’s with her. This was not our dog’s first stay with Marissa and it will not be his last.
Marissa is also a joy to work with on the human side of things. She’s flexible, helpful, and responds promptly. I’d give her 10 stars if I could.
Let's hit the trail! Home Full-Time
ABOUT MY BOARDING SERVICES:
To ensure that your dog gets my full attention, I only board one dog (or multiple dogs from the same household) at a time. I'll spoil your dog with treats, belly rubs and long walks! My family loves to go hiking in the various East Bay Regional Parks. Tofu prefers to go off-leash, but we can keep your "Buddy" on leash if you'd prefer. If your dog is high-energy, loves to ...
What Marissa would like to know about your dog
My dog Tofu is very friendly, playful and energetic. He loves to play with toys and other dogs inside our home. If your dog is sensitive to sharing toys (possessive behavior) and does not like social dogs, we may not be your perfect fit. As much as I love silver-haired pups, we can not host senior dogs with physical limitations.
In order to hit the trail, your dog must have generally good car-related skills (no barking or trying to get into the driver's seat). If you do not want your dog to go in the car, please let me know! I'd be happy to keep it to "neighborhood walks only".
Your dog also must be comfortable with both men and women, as I live with my husband.
We do live on a busy street, so your dog must be used to the street sounds that comes with an urban dwelling.
Finally, sometimes dogs may get a little "homesick"when introduced to new surroundings and people. I would love to keep your dog's usual routine as much as possible. Please let me know if your dog has had any behavior issues when boarding in the past, such as excessive barking, aggression, lack of appetite, anxiety licking, shaking or shivering.
