Safety, trust & environment

I’ve grown up with dogs my whole life, and creating a safe, loving space for them is something I take seriously. I live on 10 acres of private property, giving your dog plenty of room to explore in a peaceful, secure environment. While I don’t currently have pets of my own, I care for each dog as if they were my own—offering calm companionship, routine, and individualized attention. I can easily accommodate crate-trained pups or provide a cozy space for rest, and I always follow your preferences to ensure your pet feels safe and loved while you’re away.

Information Marissa B. would like to know about your pet

It’s really helpful to know about your pet’s daily routine, energy level, any reactivity or triggers, and how they typically interact with other animals and new people. Please also share if they have any medical needs, dietary restrictions, or quirks I should be aware of. The more I know, the better I can tailor their care to keep them comfortable, happy, and safe while you’re away. My husband and I also really appreciate proof of flea medication if we are boarding your pet at our home. Due to past instances, this is the best/easiest way to ensure our family, home, and any other pets that may come through here stay safe!

A typical day

A typical day with me is active, engaging, and full of love. I enjoy staying active myself, so your dog will get plenty of healthy movement and stimulation—whether that’s playing fetch, going for long walks, or exploring nearby trails. We also have access to several beautiful beaches in the area, which are perfect for dogs who love sand and surf! I make sure each pup gets both physical activity and mental enrichment through games, positive interaction, and a routine that matches their needs and energy level.

Pet care experience

Hi there! I’ve been surrounded by dogs my entire life—caring for them isn’t just second nature, it’s something I truly love. I grew up with dogs of all sizes and personalities, and I’ve spent years helping out neighbors by watching their pets while they were away. Whether it’s daily walks, playtime, or simply being a calm and comforting presence, I bring attentiveness and compassion to every pet I care for. Recently, my husband and I welcomed a rescue dog, Grim, into our family through Oregon Dog Rescue. He is the goofiest, sweetest boy and has been an incredible addition to our home. Grim gets along exceptionally well with other dogs and people, and we have never once had an incident with him. He is well-behaved, trained, and truly enjoys the company of other pets. Having a dog who is so gentle, social, and adaptable allows me to confidently provide a safe, calm, and welcoming environment for any pets in my care. What sets me apart is my deep emotional connection to animals, my reliability, and my ability to pick up on each pet’s unique needs. I don’t just watch your pet—I make sure they feel safe, loved, and at home while you’re away.

We had an absolutely wonderful experience with our sitter and couldn’t recommend her more highly! From the very beginning, her communication was outstanding. She kept us updated every single day with messages, pictures, and videos, which gave us so much peace of mind while we were away. It was clear from the updates that our animals were not only well cared for, but genuinely happy and comfortable with her. Seeing our dog and cows relaxed and content made all the difference for us. She was attentive, reliable, and clearly takes great pride in the care she provides. Knowing that our pets were in such capable and caring hands allowed us to fully relax during our time away. We came home to happy, healthy animals and couldn’t be more grateful. We would absolutely trust her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dependable and thoughtful sitter!

Marissa made things very easy while she was taking care of our dog and home. Her communication leading up to our first booking was reassuring and we appreciated the consistent, genuine updates from her while we were away. She was thoughtful, considerate, and proactive throughout the whole multi-day booking. We feel lucky to have met Marissa!

So grateful, I was able to find Marissa on such short notice! Went fishing on the Columbia but did not want to have a toddler and a dog on the river. It was also hot, and didn’t want my dog to overheat. With Marissa only being 8 minutes from the Elochoman Slough Marina and her experience with dogs made it perfect! My dog really enjoyed her time and was all smiles when we arrived. I’m glad to have found a future sitter for future fishing trips.

Marissa is someone who is kind, honest, reliable and hardworking. She has always had a love for animals, especially horses and dogs. She currently holds two jobs and is doing great at both.
