I’m currently working part time. I work two-four days a week for about five hour shifts so I have plenty of time to tend to your pets needs and make sure they’re getting the care they deserve. Outside of work I’m mostly home and have a lot of free time throughout my days. I also attend college fully online and am working towards my bachelor’s degree in marketing.

When I care for pets, whether it’s in my home or a client’s. I do my best to make them feel safe, loved, and right at home. I always stick to their usual routines and follow any instructions carefully, whether that’s feeding, walks, or playtime. I’m used to giving daily medication too. My own family dog takes an allergy pill every day, so I understand how important it is to stay on schedule. One of the dogs I regularly sit for also needs medication before bed, and I always make sure it’s given.

A typical day
I love taking the pets I sit out for walks. Especially if I’m given the okay to take them out to the park. I’m a big hiker so any outdoors activities I find enjoyable. It makes me happy when pets bring me their favorite toys and get all excited to play. I also really enjoy spending time with cats and learning their unique personalities.

I’ve been pet sitting for about 5 years now. It started with neighbors and family friends, and it’s kind of just grown from there which is how I ended up here on Rover! I’ve cared for all kinds of pets, from puppies to senior dogs to cats with unique personalities. I always make sure your pets are well taken care of and that your home is respected while you’re away. I’m comfortable giving medications, sticking to any routines, going on walks, and making sure your pet feels just as comfortable as they are when you’re there! There really isn’t much I haven’t experienced when it comes to caring for animals. You can feel confident knowing they’re in good hands!!

We have two rescues that have had rough pasts. Marissa was able to come to our home for a weekend stay with very little experience with them. We received check ins & they seemed content when we arrived home. We also came home to a clean house!
Did a wonderful job as always, house was spotless upon us coming home and we had some happy pups!
We were very happy to have Marisa stay at our house to watch our dog and cat. She kept them happy and safe for 5 days while we were on vacation. She handled the storms and smoke from the wildfires while we were away which I’m sure made the stay more challenging. She kept us updated with photos and left everything clean for our return. I highly recommend her service and would not hesitate to use her again.
Marisa left the house tidy, checked-in on a regular basis, and we returned to a happy pup! She was very responsive to messages and proactive with pictures. Would definitely use her again!
