Safety, trust & environment

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment in a very walkable neighborhood with multiple parks nearby. My dog is incredibly friendly (we used to live with two other dogs) and he loves to have play dates or sleepovers with fellow furry friends. If your pup ever needs a friend, he’s here :) If you’d like in-home care for your pet, I’m happy to do so as well! In these cases, my partner takes care of our dog at our home and does not need to come along.

Information Marisa P. would like to know about your pet

When preparing to care for your pet, please let me know their typical schedule, when meals and potty times are, if they are on any medicine currently and how you prefer it to be administered, any specific behaviors I should be aware of, and any of their favorite treats and activities or toys. I’m excited to learn about your furry friend!

A typical day

Whether your pet wants to go for a 10 mile hike or play fetch 50 times or simply snuggle, I’m in. Whatever their energy level, I’m here to match it. Some pets need mental enrichment while others need physical exhaustion. I’m here to make sure your pets needs are met, plus I know a lot of good parks to explore & im happy to plan a field trip!

Pet care experience

I learned how to care for dogs when I found my soul pup as a 19 year old college sophomore. I researched high and low, consulted with any and every dog expert I could get ahold of, and have since tried every single day to give my baby the best life he deserves. That’s the level of passion and care I bring to pet sitting. I truly understand how important our pets are, from setting routines with them to managing their healthcare, to training and (they might say most importantly) playtime. 😉 When it comes to dog walking, sitting, training, or just a midday check in & fetch, I’d love to help you live your life comfortably knowing your pet is in the best hands.

Marisa did such an excellent job taking care of our fur babies! We had a last minute situation with Peaches who went to the ER the night before our scheduled trip and Marisa was super responsive and flexible. She was able to give Peaches her scheduled medication, and was able to take care of some pee accidents. Marisa did above and beyond and cleaned everything! Peaches was also nervous at first, and Marisa was able to adjust to her nerves and made her feel at ease. All that and was also able to take care of our little chihuahua Bantay. Marisa was also very good at keeping me updated. I’m so happy with Marisa and will definitely rehire and recommend everyone to do the same! ❤️

Marisa is kind, empathetic & conscientious which are exactly the qualities I look for when choosing someone to care for my fur babies while I'm away. I have 2 cats & she's taken care of them several times. I know they're in very good hands with Marisa. She's the kind of pet sitter you can give instructions to & know that she'll be very careful to follow them exactly. Having her with your pets is the next best thing to you being with them.
