Information Marisa M. would like to know about your pet
Let me know if your pet has ever displayed aggression to people or other animals, if they are special needs, or if they take any kind of medication or supplements.
A typical day
I like to take my canine clients on long walks, play with their toys, and make sure they get lots of pets and scritches. I make sure to give plenty of attention to my feline clients, always have a lap open if they want to use it, and follow their lead when it comes to how much attention they want.

Pet lover & retired police employee
Pet care experience
I'm new to Rover but a veteran at caring for pets and homes! As a retired police support staffer, you can't have a safer, more trustworthy person in your home. You get both a genuine, long-time pet lover caring for your babies AND the luxury of a trained law enforcement veteran looking after your home and valuables at *no extra cost*! I've been fingerprinted, polygraphed, background checked, and fully vetted for 25 years. You'll receive detailed daily updates - with photos - by text or email, and your babies will receive all the pets, scritches, love, walks, and play time they want! I've had cats since I was 10, and most have been special needs in one way or another. One needed multiple pills daily in different combinations (half pill, whole pill, 1x, 2x, etc.). Another was diabetic and needed insulin shots twice daily. Currently, I live with Ellie, a rescue cat who is 18 and needs a liquid steroid nightly and regular B12 injections, and Gracie, a rescue cat who is 15 and has no needs other than a lap to sit in and hands to pet her. My spouse has a deaf dog who I adore (and they say the feeling is mutual)! She doesn't get along well with most other dogs, and my cats don't appreciate visitors, so I can't board or otherwise watch pets in my own home, but I'm always available to visit your home!

Reviews

Marisa did an amazing job taking care of my two dogs. She communicated daily with pictures and updates. She wrote down all of their needs during the meet visit which makes everything very easy. I definitely would have her watch my dogs again in the future. She gave me peace of mind while I was away for a few days.

Marisa was wonderful with my Newfoundland after her TPLO surgery. She stayed with her for an entire day, made sure she was safe, comfortable, and followed every instruction perfectly. I feel so lucky to have found her. I have already booked her for future dates. If you need post surgery care for your pup, I highly recommend!

Marisa is a thoughtful and caring sitter for my special needs dog, Helen. Marisa has top-notch communication, is prompt, and reliable. I am mpressed with her professionalism and commitment to go the extra mile with thorough updates. I trust her wholeheartedly to care for my deaf dog.
