I currently work from home and have a very flexible schedule which allows me to schedule in drop ins, morning/mid day walks and other errands in between. I also have access to a car which allows me to drive to pet owners homes when needed.

This helps me ensure that I can also protect their privacy and security. Communication is a key component so I always send a picture during/after a check in or walk to confirm safety of pet and home.

Continuing their typical daily routine is always recommended so I will ensure we can replicate their activities to the best of my abilities. If your dog has enrichment toys/treats, hide & seek training, and specific commands to practice I am happy to include them in our routine. I love taking dogs for walks, go to parks where we can play and spend time outdoors with them.

Growing up I always wished having my own pet but due to my moms allergies I spent every chance taking care of neighbors & family pets x I’ve cared for dogs and cats of all kinds since I was 15 years old. Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, bathe, and provide loving care for their pets. Then in college I started pet sitting as aside gig to pay for my business books. I have experience with dogs of all sizes, from small breeds to large, high-energy pups, and I understand how to cater to their unique needs. Whether it’s keeping up with a playful pup, ensuring a senior dog is comfortable, or giving cats their much-needed space and affection, I provide attentive and compassionate care. For the past three years, I’ve been an active pet sitter on TrustedHousesitters, completing 25 sits across the U.S. and Mexico. Many of these have been long-term stays, giving me experience with different pet personalities, routines, and special care needs. As a remote worker, I have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets extra attention throughout the day. I also have experience administering medication and following special dietary routines if needed. My goal is to make sure every pet feels happy, safe, and loved while their owners are away!

Marisa was great! She regularly provided updates and pictures showing what my dog was up to while I was away. I really appreciate her attention to detail and the care she provided to both my dog and apartment.
I booked Marissa last minute as the whole family had to travel to India, due to my mother in laws sudden demise. She stayed with our dog for over a week and was very accommodating when I asked her to extend her stay, as my children could not reach Austin on scheduled dates for almost 2 days, due to sudden flight cancellations because of the inclement weather conditions. She was kind enuff to clean up the mess I left on the counter. She watered my plants, cleaned up if necessary, and was very communicative throughout her stay. She sent picture and videos and took Scooby for his long walks and evening playtime with his friends. I would definitely recommend her others who want someone reliable, as she stayed the extra days without a fuss making me stress free, in my already stressed out life.
