Large Breed & Reactive Pro
Hi! I’m Marion — a lifelong animal lover, former veterinary assistant, and proud dog mom to a German Shepherd I’ve trained myself, Luther. I’ve worked 2+ years in a local pet store specializing in dog and cat nutrition, behavior, and wellness — helping owners find the right food, harnesses, and toys for every personality (from strong chewers to cuddly couch potatoes). I also spent 2 summers assisting in a veterinary clinic, giving me a calm, confident approach to pets with medical needs or anxiety. Whether your dog pulls, barks, or just needs a gentle hand, I’ll make sure they feel safe, engaged, and loved. I’m reliable, responsive, and treat every pet like my own. Specialties: puppies, large breeds, reactivity, leash training, and senior care among others. Let’s make sure your pets are happy and stress-free while you’re away! 🐾💛 PS: I know how stressful it can be to find someone you trust — I’ll keep you updated with daily photos and notes so you always know your pet is in good hands.

Safety, trust & environment
I provide personalized, attentive care for every pet, tailored to their needs and your preferences. House Sitting: I can check on pets 1–3 times per day, depending on your schedule and location. I can handle feeding, potty breaks, playtime, medication (any type), and provide plenty of updates so you always know your pets are happy and safe. Drop-In Visits: Visits can include stay-and-play, short walks, or a combination, depending on your dog’s needs. I’m happy to stay as long as needed to ensure they get the care, attention, and exercise they require. Dog Walks: Walk length and pace are customized to each dog — typically 30–45 minutes, but longer if your pet needs extra exercise. I can incorporate running, fetch, or swimming for high-energy dogs and adjust for reactive or leash-pulling dogs. I’m happy to work with your training routines, or incorporate my own experience with leash manners, positive reinforcement, and enrichment activities to keep your dog mentally and physically engaged. My goal is to make your pets feel loved, safe, and stimulated while you’re away.
Ratings and reviews
Marion did a great job watching our house and pets. They had a great time and we get regular updates. Highly recommend!

Marion was great! She was super understanding with our anxious dog and we had a successful solo walk. Looking forward to working with her again.

Marion is a great fit for walking our Labrador! We are very grateful for Marion’s kind and calm demeanor towards our big, energetic pup! Thanks, Marion!

Marion was a fantastic sitter! I had a last minute work trip come up, and I am so thankful that she was able to make it work. She communicated very well with me on timing, and provided updates and pictures throughout her stay. My dog Winnie had a great time while I was away, and I would highly recommend Marion to anyone looking for a sitter!

Marion was great! Our dog seems to have loved her and she took great care of our house.

I wholeheartedly recommend Marion as a responsible, knowledgeable, and deeply loving pet caregiver. Her connection to animals—especially dogs—is something truly special. Since we welcomed Luther, our German Shepherd puppy, in 2020, Marion has been his devoted companion and caretaker. She doesn’t just walk or play with him—she’s been hands-on with every aspect of his care, from grooming and bathing to administering medication and managing vet visits. Thanks to her, we’ve never needed professional grooming; she handles nail trims, ear cleaning, brushing, and baths with skill and patience. Marion worked at a pet store for two years, where she deepened her understanding of dog nutrition, breed-specific needs, and behavioral care. She also spent a summer as a veterinary tech assistant, caring for both cats and dogs and assisting with specialized treatments and even surgeries. Marion has a genuine love for dogs, any size. She’s not just reliable and well-informed—she’s emotionally attuned to the pets she cares for. Whether it’s a playful romp in the yard or a quiet moment of comfort, Marion brings warmth, empathy, and joy to every interaction. Any pet would be lucky to have her in their life.

Schedule
I work fully remote on East Coast hours, which gives me a lot of flexibility to care for pets during the day. I can provide walks, drop-ins, or house sitting on weekdays and weekends, and I’m happy to adapt to your schedule. On my free time, I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, and long walks — so active dogs will get plenty of exercise and attention, while calmer dogs get the care and structure they need.

- I’m comfortable with all types of dogs — big or small, shy or stubborn (my German Shepherd can be very stubborn!). It’s helpful for me to know about your dog’s personality, energy level, reactivity, health needs, and any routines or training you’re using. This helps me provide care that’s safe, consistent, and tailored to their unique needs.
