Having grown up with kitties my entire life, scooping pans, playtime, and feeding has been a natural part of my routine, only further solidified by the challenge of raising my own kitten throughout and since completing college. My shy older rescue kitties taught me how to create a calm, safe, trusting environment, and often I’d wait hours at a time for them to come say hi at their speed. Meanwhile, adopting Luna as a lively semi-feral kitten taught me extreme patience and challenged me to develop creative manners of engaging cats in play, especially those easily bored and prone to looking for trouble (haha). I have also formally provided pet care since I was 10, so have experience meeting new cats and following the various needs that are unique to each. My choice to pet sit has and remains to be driven by a true desire to have the opportunity to meet and care for more cats and make their experience while their owners as gone as comfortable as I’d hope my sitters strive to make it for my cats when I’m away by taking the time to connect with them, carefully following instructions, keeping things tidy, and going above and beyond whenever else possible :) Fun fact, I taught both of my current cats to sit and fist bump on command, and one even to skateboard! I also in my free time make catnip toys by hand, some of which I’ve personalized with felting to reflect them! I am also experienced in taking cats outdoors on a harness.
