Having grown up with kitties my entire life, scooping pans, playtime, and feeding has been a natural part of my routine, only further solidified by the challenge of raising my own kitten throughout and since completing college. My shy older rescue kitties taught me how to create a calm, safe, trusting environment, and often I’d wait hours at a time for them to come say hi at their speed. Meanwhile, adopting Luna as a lively semi-feral kitten taught me extreme patience and challenged me to develop creative manners of engaging cats in play, especially those easily bored and prone to looking for trouble (haha). I have also formally provided pet care since I was 10, so have experience meeting new cats and following the various needs that are unique to each. My choice to pet sit has and remains to be driven by a true desire to have the opportunity to meet and care for more cats and make their experience while their owners as gone as comfortable as I’d hope my sitters strive to make it for my cats when I’m away by taking the time to connect with them, carefully following instructions, keeping things tidy, and going above and beyond whenever else possible :) Fun fact, I taught both of my current cats to sit and fist bump on command, and one even to skateboard! I also in my free time make catnip toys by hand, some of which I’ve personalized with felting to reflect them! I am also experienced in taking cats outdoors on a harness.

I understand personally that being away from your cat can create stress for both you and them. For this reason I strive to calm any worries by attending to details in care directions, staying in active communication with regular updates/pictures, and ensuring your cats are not just safe and have their needs met, but get the necessary playtime and pats as well :)

Marina was a fantastic cat sitter! She was quick to respond during all communications, took diligent notes on our cat’s specific routine, shared loads of much-appreciated pictures, and wrote a detailed summary after each visit. We felt reassured that our cat was in such good hands with Marina and will be using her services again in the future!
Marina was a wonderful cat sitter! She came by a few days before my vacation to meet my cat and get him comfortable around her. My cat is young and wary of strangers. He usually doesn’t go up to people he doesn’t know, but he was immediately comfortable with Marina. While I was away, she took very detailed notes and plenty of pictures. I had assurance that my cat was getting the playtime he needs (he’s very active). I was able to enjoy my vacation knowing that he was in good hands!
Marina was terrific and truly went above and beyond. She took wonderful care of our older cat. We really appreciate the extra patience, thoughtfulness, and care she showed. Highly recommend!
Marina took great care of my cat. He is young with a lot of energy and she spent the time to really play with him and learn what he likes during her AM and PM visits. Her daily notes are very detailed and I felt 100% comfortable with having her in charge for a week. I would highly recommend her.
Marina was excellent. She followed the instructions specifically and in her notes made me feel very confident and comfortable about her and Pearl! She treated Pearl with great care and took the time to make Pearl feel safe. Pearl reacted to Marina in a way far more positive than Pearl has ever reacted to any visitor to our house.
Marina was absolutely incredible to our cats! She was very attentive to detail, took notes on everything, and our cats loved her instantly. Her communication was top-notch, and she sent us a ton of amazing photos and updates that gave us complete peace of mind. It’s obvious she genuinely cared about our cats, and they felt it. We highly recommend Marina and will absolutely be booking her again in the future!

Schedule
I recently graduated college and returned from living in Australia, traveling in Europe, and a cross country roadtrip to Arizona. As a result, aside from teaching art part time in an elementary school and volunteering when needed to help deliver groceries to people who are elderly, my schedule is quite open at the moment so I can accommodate a lot of your needs and am very flexible!
